Fastforward pt.6 (namjin)

Seeing the kids grow up and leave the nest was hard. Especially for Jin. Along with his health going backwards and his mother dying. It had been a hard time for him to adjust.

After Jungkook moved out of the house it felt so empty. Jin felt the emptiness hitting him hard. He had to work less because of his health and was at home over often. Namjoon on the other hand was still working on his career.

One day after Jin came home he bursted out in tears. He missed hearing yelling in the house or seeing his children on the couch. He even missed the mess they made. His emtions had overflowed into tears.

"Jin are you okay?" Namjoon asked panicked when he saw Jin in tears. "Joonie I want my baby's back." Jin cried. "I wish I could turn back time. I miss them so much. This house feels so empty without them." Namjoon held him for as long as needed. He had noticed that Jin had been quite emotional lately.

"Jinnie how about the move to a smaller place. Living smaller is convenient and might help you proses the fact that they moved out." Namjoon opted. "Sounds like a good idea." Jin sniffled as he dried his tears. "You didn't lose them forever you know." "I know. It's kind of selfish to want them back. They have their own lives. It doesn't matter how much I want to turn them back to children I just need to accept reality. God were my parents like this when I left home." Jin joked. "I know that my parents threw a party." Namjoon smiled.

They moved to the couch and cuddled in silence for a while. "I don't want to cook. Do you want to order takeout?" Jin spoke up. "Yeah, how about pizza."

The new house was an apartment. It was smaller but cozy. They had an extra room for if their children decided to come over and a small home studio for Namjoon.

"Joon our anniversary is coming up. Is there anything you want to do?" Jin asked standing in the doorway of the studio. "No not really. Is there something you want to do?" Namjoon asks curious as he puts his work down. "I don't know. I think after 35 years of being married I finally ran out of ideas to make this anniversary special." Jin sighed sadly. "Don't give up yet. I'm sure we will think of something. We still have a week left." Namjoon told Jin. "Your right. I need to go to work now. I will see you later." Jin says kissing Namjoon forehead.

A week had passed and Jin still couldn't think of anything. Everything he thought of they had already done. So when he woke up he was completely defeated and not looking forward to the rest of the day.

"Good morning." Namjoon said as he opened his eyes. "I'm sorry Joonie. I couldn't think of anything." Jin said defeated. "Don't worry I have a surprise for you. But first let's cuddle." Namjon said wrapping his arm around Jin's waist and pulling him closer. Jin felt at peace with Namjoon next to him but that peace was broken when he started coughing really badly. Namjoon soothes him by rubbing his back.

"Are you getting sick again love?" Namjoon asked. Jin nodded slowly feeling lethargic. He could feel his temperature slowly rising but he didn't say anything about it.

After the couples cuddling session Taehyung came along making his parents brunch. Jin certainly enjoyed the extra company since the others joined them later on.

"Granny you feel very hot." Yumi said as she was seated on Jin's lap. "Don't worry about it princess. I'm just a bit sick." Jin answered. He had checked and his temperature was borderline feverish so he was okay for now.

"Are you ready for your surprise?" Namjoon asked interrupting their short dialogue. Jin just nodded as he looked up at his husband. Namjoon handed him a small packed in pink wrapping paper. He opened it carefully finding 2 albums in it. On the album wad was written 'for Jin.' "In every album that made I have one or two song for you. So for our anniversary I put them all together. I hope you like them." Namjoon said a bit unsure. Before he knew it Jin had hugged him tightly. "Thank you." Jin whispered. "Your the best."

The next day when Namjoon was off to work Jin rolled himself into a thick blanket because he was still feverish and put up the album. Every song had a date next to it. Dates that were special to both of them. Like the birthday dates of their children, anniversaries, when a Yoongi said his first words and when Jungkook graduated from high school. All where there. As he fell asleep he dreamed about all those special moments that made his life happy.
