The Ex

Jinhwan's POV:
As I saw Hanbin leaving , I quickly went over to Yunhyeong.

"Yunhyeong...I'm sorry.."
I said, while hot tears streamed out of my eyes.

"Hey, Hey, it's okay. Just tell me what really happened."
Yunhyeong replied whilst patting my back.

"Well, basically Hanbin came over because I wasn't answering his messages. He asked me how I felt about him, and things got a little steamy. We ended up having sex, and when I heard you coming I had him get dressed and come downstairs."
I looked down at my feet, I know Yunhyeong was starting to lose his patience with me, as everyone else was.

"Hey, it's okay.."
"I know for some weird twisted reason, you love Hanbin...and I'm not gonna stop you."
I was shocked at his words. I for sure thought he was going to be mad at me.

"Just, destress yourself Jinhwan, wanna have a couple drinks tonight?"
Yunhyeong proposed.
I nodded in agreement.

The Next Day:
I awoke with a strong headache, and all I could see was the blazing Sun shining in my face.
Ugh I feel like crap
I thought to myself.
What happened?
I then started to look around the house, and all I saw were a bunch of champagne bottles everywhere. I was so confused, but then I suddenly saw a note on the coffee table, the note read;

Hope your hangover isn't too bad! If you're reading this I am most likely at work already. Oh! And there's breakfast on the table for you!

Once I had read the note, everything started falling into place. Yunhyeong had asked me to drink last night so I could get my mind off Hanbin... I mean it worked, but not really. I then checked the time, and it read 8:00am.

Oh my God! I'm gonna be late!
I then started getting dressed and headed straight out the door. I ran throughout the city until I had reached the building. As I stood there, attempting to catch my breath, I checked the time and it read '8:35am'

"Oh no!"
I yelled.
"I'm 5 minutes late!?"
So, without wasting time I pushed the doors open, and ran to Hanbin's office. As I stood there, at the door, I started to feel nervous.
Come on Jinhwan, be professional.

I knew I couldn't waste anymore time, so I walked right in and bowed.

"Good morning Mr.Kim, I'm sorry I'm late."
Hanbin gave me a look of confusion, he was probably wondering why I was being so formal, even though I was yesterday, he still looked confused.

"Good morning Jinhwan."
He replied with a smile.
"Please, have a seat."

Hanbin's POV:
I wanted to make sure that today went by smoothly, I didn't want any "chemistry" between me and Jinhwan being present today.
So, I just decided to discuss business with Jinhwan this morning.

"So, these past few months, my company has been decreasing in profit."
"I know you've only been working here for 4 days but, I was going to ask for an opinion on how you think we can raise profit again?"
Jinhwan stared at me with a look of reassurance.

"Perhaps maybe we can get sponsors? I mean, that's the only thing I can think of at the moment sir."

I quietly nodded.
"Okay, thank you Jinhwan...a staff meeting will be held soon to discuss the other employees ideas, you can go on ahead and head over there if you'd like."

"Yes sir."
Is all he said.

After Jinhwan left the room, I let out a loud sigh.
What's gotten into me these days...
I thought to myself silently, as I ruffled through my hair.
I quickly got up, grabbed my briefcase, and made my way towards the boarding room.

Jinhwan's POV:
As I was walking towards the boarding room I saw Mino and his friend Junmyeon chatting up a storm. I decided to approach them and say hi, although I was a bit nervous, I approached them anyways.

"Hey guys.."
I said nervously.

"Oh, hello there Jinhwan!"
Junmyeon cheerfully said.
"I don't think I've officially met you!"
He added while bowing.
Man, who knew Junmyeon was so respectful!

"Nice to meet you."
I replied.

"Nice to see you Jay."
Mino said, with a bright smile on his face.
I guess he wasn't mad at me after all.

"You too Mino."
I replied.

"Guys, it's time for the meeting."
Junmyeon said frantically.

Once all the employees were settled in Hanbin came into the room, and started talking about the companies profits and the idea of sponsors.
I didn't really pay much attention, but I pretended I was. Every now and then I would see Hanbin glancing at me. Every time he glanced at me, I quickly turned away.

Once the meeting was over, everyone was allowed to clock out. When I was about to leave, Hanbin stopped me and pulled me aside.

"Jinhwan, have a nice night, okay?"
Hanbin said in a low tone.

"T-thanks...you too sir."
I replied while bowing.
Why Hanbin why?

Once I had left I decided to stop by the local café and get a treat. Once I entered the café I took my order.

After I got my food, I went to a nearby booth and sat down, quietly using my phone. While I was focusing on my phone, I heard footsteps coming towards my direction. I didn't bothering looking up because I thought it was just another customer, or an employee. Until I saw that person slide into the seat across from me.

"Hey who are-"
I quickly stopped in the middle of my sentence, I was shocked. The person sitting across from me was no other than Taehyun.

"Hello Jinhwan, it's been awhile, hasn't it?"
Taehyun said.
"Let me cut to the chase here, I know you've been getting touchy with Hanbin lately."
"Let's just say that I want you out of the picture."
"My last sugar daddy wasn't treating me right, or well didn't have enough money to please me
should say."
"Now, when I was with Hanbin, I didn't have to worry about money."
"Basically, I want you to stay away from him."
"I'll pay you if you want."
"Just stay away from him or else there will be consequences, hear me?"

I was in shock. Taehyun had changed so much since High School. Yeah sure, he messed around with a lot of guys back then, but...he never tried to manipulate people.
Taehyun quickly gathered his things and stood up.
"If you tell Hanbin about this you will be sorry Jinhwan."

After that, Taehyun left. After he left, I sat there thinking about what had just happened. Nothing seemed to make sense...
Taehyun, my best friend from high school, told me to stay away from Hanbin?! How does he even know that I know him?! Who told him...?
