'That'll be 8.16 pounds, miss.' She gave the vendor the amount and slipped the change into her wallet. Picking up the shrimp gyoza with the wooden chopsticks, she spent her lunch eating at the park. She'd been to Hyde Park before but never during the fall. She would be too busy with work and she would always think that it was a bit coincidental. 'You're not very good at sneaking up at people, Mr. Watson.'

She turned to the doctor whose hands were in his pocket and a content smile on his face. She looked past him. 'Did Sherlock leave you behind?' He shook his head and sat down next to her.

'No, he's busy at the morgue.' He replied in a lightly hungry tone. John eyed hungrily at the gyoza in the plastic container. (Y/N) must have noticed because she held one up with the chopsticks. He was caught off guard but he kept his composure. 'You're not going to feed me.'

She smiled and replied in a non sarcastic more gentle tone. 'It's either starving until you walk to the nearest restaurant or this.' He wanted to decline but his stomach said otherwise. He sighed and took the entire gyoza in his mouth. He figured if she was sent by Mycroft, she wouldn't try to kill him.

A couple walked by and gave them a little 'Aww, that's so cute.' They rolled their eyes and looked back at each other. 'It's good, right?' He nodded as he chewed down on it. She finished the last on and threw it in the bin next to them. 'So, did Sherlock starve you again?'

'I'm not his dog.' She laughed at stood up. 'So, why are you here? Did Sherlock whine to you about this morning?'

'Something like that.' (Y/N) started to walk but John stopped her. 'You know he cares about you, right?' She stopped in her tracks and turned on her heel. She cocked her head to the side.

'Please tell me you're kidding. Sherlock Holmes? Caring about the person he thinks killed his friend?' She walked towards to John, making him get ready to fight. He calmed down for a bit and cleared his throat.

'He tried to contact you today.' She bit her lip and narrowed her eyes, reading his body language to make sure it's not a lie. She smirked and leaned in closer. 'So?'

'Just talk to him. And don't lean into me.' She backed off and stepped back.

'Fine.'

Baby Rosamund pointed at the illustratted cow in her children's book and cooed. John read out the accompanying text as Sherlock laid down on the couch with two nicotine patches on his left arm. He jumped up when he heard the knock on the door. He looked over at John. 'Were you expecting anyone?'

He shook his head and replied. 'You should probably open.'

'Why me?'

'Because you're closer.' He groaned at the inconvience and straightened his white buttoned up shirt. He opened and to find a short girl in an oversized orange sweatshirt wih a jack-o-lantern face printed on, black baggy shorts, thigh high cat socks and those two toned black and white Oxfords. She was also carrying a black book and a blue pencil.

'Why are you here?' John walked up behind him, carrying Rosie in his arms. '(Y/N)! Come in.'

She squeezed past Sherlock and looked around at the flat. 'Classy.' She made herself comfortable on Sherlock's favourite leather chair. Sherlock took a deep breath and closed the door, practically slamming it shut.

'Well, it's Rosie bedtime. I'll leave you two to talk.' He said, emphasizing on the "talk" part and left to tuck Rosie in bed. (Y/N) prayed to God that he wouldn't go to bed too. She felt someone's particular glaring eyes stare at her as she opened her sketchbook. She snickered under her breath as she moved the pencil. 'What?' He almost let a growl as he asked her the question.

'Oh, nothing.' John walked in on the conversation with a smile that quickly faded as he felt the weight of mood on him. He bit his lip and sat down in his armchair. 'So, you're not speaking to each other. Is that it?' (Y/N) nodded profusely but Sherlock didn't say a word. He just kept glaring at her.

'This is going to be a long night.'
