the END of his flame (GRATSU remade version)

chapter 6

Welcome back to the END of his flame I am super stoked to start this new chapter with a macher thanks to all the people who comment, like and read this story it means the world to me that you guys are responding so nicely to every chapter and it encourages me to keep on writing.  

WARNING: this chapter contains abuse and child hitting. A quick summary will be at the bottom of the chapter for readers who rather skip the reading of the abuse. 

"Wait brother wait!!!" A small salmon haired boy was running up the mossy cobblestone street of Thyseldale (Made up name) a small quint village just north of Fiore on the border leading into Bosco. (see map on top don't know if that map is correct but just roll with it ) The little boy was chasing after a taller boy with black as charcoal hair. The taller seemingly looking older boy was carrying a large bag of groceries under his arm while the smaller boy was chasing after him with a handful of flowers. "Well, Natsu we have to hurry we are already late because you wanted to pick up some flowers for mum." The boy called Natsu then replied, "But brother there for mummy for in her new room."  

The black haired older brother sighed he couldn't tell his smaller sibling that their mother's new room isn't because she has something wrong with the left side of the bed that was just a last minute cover up because father didn't want Natsu to know the real reason why. That their mother is suffering from cancer. The older brother turned around grabbed Natsu by the arm and ran faster pulling an upset pink head behind him. 

A few years later their mother had passed away things at the house was let's say rough. One night our father was lying on the couch drinking some strong ale. When he saw his 2 boys rushing in he shakily stood up and through the glass bottle through the house and started yelling at them "IT'S YOUR FAULT, YOU STUPID BOYS. ZEREF GO UPSTAIRS!!!" the man screamed at the older brother. Zeref tried to push him off but nothing worked he was forced into the attic and the door was locked behind him. He scrambled off of  the ground and started banging at the door " Don't hurt him dad please don't hurt him" Zeref collapsed to his knees in tears "Don't hurt him"

Downstairs Rave was yelling, kicking and screaming at his younger son "It's your fault your fault she's gone!!" The elder male pushed the scared salmon haired boy to the ground and severely started kicking at his lungs and ribs. Natsu was profusely spitting up blood onto the dark wooden floor.  His father then proceeded to grab Natsu roughly by his spiky pink hair and throw him against the cold stone wall.  He then grabbed his ales spit on his son and walked back to his couch. 

A few nights later their father was so drunk that he forgot to lock up the attic door when he was beating up his youngest son. Natsu was bleeding on the floor when Zeref ran up and jumped up on Rave's back pulling him away from his frightened younger brother. Rave threw his Zeref on the floor and started hitting him in the face. Through the chaos, the scared hurt young boy grabbed one of the kitchen knives and stabbed it in his father's back. The terrible man fell to the ground quickly the elder sibling grabbed his younger brother by the hand and pulled him out the house in the process Zeref proceeded to bash over a lit candle in the house setting the entire building on fire. 

Once outside Natsu scrambled outside his older brothers arms running back into the burning building... Never to come out alive

Summary: When Natsu and Zeref where younger their mother died from cancer shocked from pure grief their father became an alcoholic and extremely abusive. He beat up Natsu because he believed it was his fault because he and his mother looked so similar. During one of their fights, Zeref escapes out of the attic and fights his father which results in Natsu killing his own dad. All of this ends up with a burning house and Natsu running back into the building with the reason not yet revealed.
