After an hour of driving and a long, horrible awkward silence, Jin and I finally arrived at the magnificent school. Unfortunately, it was located in one of the forests far away from the city so my plan of escape won't work. I spent so much time on it T-T
While walking out of the car, I could only admire the unrealistic sight in front of me. A wooden door, about 10 times taller, was planted just by the barren buildings. It was engraved with all sorts of animals; a tiger; an owl; a bat and even a—butterfly? Gosh, do people really turn into disgusting insects? Probably. Then I really should be careful and resist my urges; no matter the size or the gooey-ness, I squash any insect that falls into my view.
As soon as Jin finished with my luggage, we headed over to the legendary gate.
"Red Dill Pepper" he said, stroking the wood like it was an animal. "Whoops, sorry if this seems strange. The door has a secret password and a handprint spell. You can access it once you've been registered! Cool right?"
"Hm." Was all I said, along with a weak smile that was probably too small for him to see. The frustration was clear in his eyes as he stared at me, looking for some sort of reaction from the magic but I was actually distracted by my own thoughts. Thoughts about bread. I just wanted to eat a baguette after all of those veggies that I had on the airplane. Seriously, what kind of person would create an airlines that served only vegetables? It's torture.
Once the door gap was large enough for us to walk through, we entered the territory.
It was surprisingly empty, as if the place was abandoned. However, in the distance, my ears could pick up cries of laughter, a lot of cheering, and screams that I know too well of. They were the screams of fangirls, literally the loudest people ever.'Good that I'm not heading to wherever those girls ar-' my thoughts were quickly interrupted by Jin, who's words didn't please me too much.
"You know what, how about we go to the basketball game? It's very fun!" Just when I thought that this day couldn't get any worse. Supreme being from above, what have I done wrong? Actually, a lot.
I let out a quiet groan, quiet enough to make it so that I was the only one who heard it. Of course I didn't want to go. Basketball's boring, fangirls are screaming like maniacs over there and I'm at risk of becoming deaf. Crowds are just not my thing, but before I could reject, the taller, much stronger male was already carrying me over to the court.
-
It was closer than I thought, only 5 minutes of continuous pulling for Jin and unfortunately for him, I weigh more than a person can carry, and it was obvious that he was struggling quite a bit. He was piggy-backing me and I asked him a couple of times if he wanted me to walk but he only refused and said that it was good exercise, which was rather insulting. I'm heavy, but not that heavy...right? We've all got insecurities.
As we came closer, I could hear the voices more clearly.
"Min Yoongi! Min Yoongi! Min Yoongi!" The crowd was yelling in synchronization.
I stepped into the massive building, lit by really bright torches on the walls. The ceiling was high, the floor had a shine to it. Everyone was so engrossed in the game that they didn't notice panting Jin. Just imagine what a fish out of water would sound like if it could make a sound and you've got what Jin sounds like right now.
Unfortunately, there weren't anymore seats so I was forced to stand with Jin. Don't give up, my wobbly legs. It's only an hour of standing and you'll get your energy from the baguette that I'll eat later...
(A/N: Although Daeun has a bread obsession, she is not fat or thick. There's a difference between those two, well I don't think so but if ppl say there's a difference then I guess there's a difference.)
The stands were filled up to the brim, but all I could really see was "MIN YOONGI, I WILL SUE YOU" or "GO GO, THE ROCK MIN YOONGI" signs. Looking closer, I could see that nearly everyone had Min Yoongi merch. Cups, hats, shirts, sunglasses, this guy must be really popular around here.
I shifted my gaze over to the court; the guys were playing smoothly with one passing to another, then another, then back to the old person again.
I could recognize the main player easily; he was running back and forth, dribbling the ball with intense control. And what a coincidence, there's a "MIN" on his jersey. He's kind of, handsome as well...no! What the hell are you thinking?!
Although he was the main player of the game and also insanely handsome, I could only focus on the one marking Min Yoongi. He wasn't bad, not bad at all. I could tell that the guy was exhausted from following the best player, he's been running for ages. But this isn't the reason why I'm eyeing him.
He's staring at me too much and it was kind of side staring. That's the worst possible way to stare. Trust me, I know. He doesn't want me to see that he's staring so he tries to hide it. Pathetic.
It's all written on that annoying bunny face.
