[Song Theory] Sacrifice

Back in season two, a song closed the season.  The song that was played during the credits, Sacrifice.  It is believed to be Cinder or Raven or even Summer.  All these theories they were talking to "superior".  They just don't add up, though.  Cinder adores Salem, Raven would be hypocritical, and Summer is dead and we don't enough about her to actually say it was her. 

I really think it was Ozpin speaking Salem or even the other way around.  In Season 6, episode 3, it explains how Ozpin and Salem were lovers and their whole backstory.  If this was from Ozpin's perspective, it would be him going through his lives and telling Salem about the wrong she's doing. If it was from Salem's perspective, it would be about her plan and how Ozpin cannot defeat her.

[Verse 1]
Close your eyes now, time for dreams
Death is never what it seems
Take the things you thought you should
All the things they said were good
Salem is talking about the death of Ozma. His death came too quick. Then, the Gods took away her ability to die, the only thing that would make her happy.
Ozma is trying to kill Salem but can't. Salem tried to take off the human race and tried to become a false god.

All your faith in ancient ways
Leaves you trapped inside a maze
Take the lives of those you need
Sow the death then reap the seed
Reap the seed
Salem describes Ozma undying faith to the gods of old, leaving him in this never ending cycle. He uses people to help defeat Salem who cannot be defeated. He just used their lives for his own goals which are unobtainable.
Salem still hates the gods even though lots of time has passed. She doesn't realize that she doesn't have to follow this path of life. She's just using death to reap hatred.

Born an angel, heaven-sent
Falls from grace are never elegant
Stars will drop out of the sky
The moon will sadly watch the roses die
The descent of Salem into darkness and the destruction of the earth is what she's talking about.
He loved Salem, but her fall caused him to leave her. She caused the human race to die.

[Pre-Chorus]
In vain
Lost, no gain
But you're not taking me
Ozma's plans will never work.
Salem can never truly defeat Ozma because he keeps coming back.

[Chorus]
You can't take my life
I'm not your Sacrifice
You can try but I'm free
And you won't conquer me
I won't crawl, most of all
I won't fall for you
Salem will never die, and she won't be sacrificed to bring the Gods back to the land. She won't fall back in love with Ozma.
Ozma wouldn't die or go away just so Salem can take over. He won't fall back in love with Salem.

[Verse 2]
Show them gods and deities
Blind and keep the people on their knees
Pierce the sky, escape your fate
The more you try, the more you'll just breed hate
And lies
Truth will rise
Revealed by mirrored eyes
The gods controlled the human race, but when humans rebelled, they left, shattering the moon. Ozma, trying to bring the Gods back, will only bring pain, which Ruby, who is silver-eyed, revealed.
She wants to teach the Gods a lesson so she blinds the human race. The gods left and Salem escaped her fate of death. Salem only breeds hatred and lies but Ruby revealed the truth.

[Bridge]
What if all the plans you made
Were not worth the price they paid?
Even with the lives you stole
You're still no closer to your goal
Ozma will never win but he keeps trying, which is killing people.
Salem will never be able to control humans. She destroyed a perfectly fine world and now she will not be able to do want she wants.

[Chorus]
You can't take my life
I'm not your Sacrifice
You can try but I'm free
And you won't conquer me
I won't crawl, most of all
I won't fall for you
Same as the first chorus.
