"Hey Siri." I called out to my phone.
"I'm listening."
"Call Brielle."
"Calling Brielle."
I turned onto a busy street and waited for her to answer.
"Yes baby mother. How may I be of service?"
I smiled and rolled my eyes at her choice of words.
"I hope you're home. I got you food from Negril Village."
"Hell yeah. I'm sitting on my couch watching Stranger Things for the millionth time."
We laughed.
"Alright I'm fifteen minutes out."
"Okay get here safe."

I knocked on her door, the food bag in one hand and my purse in the other, and waited for her to answer.
"Ahhh the prodigal daughter returns." She opened the door with a cheesy smile. She wore a NYU crewneck and some GymShark leggings.
I smiled and moved past her into the apartment. "Oh hush, nerd."
After taking my shoes off, I walked into the kitchen. Placing her lunch down on the granite counter top.
"I'm definitely not a bigger nerd than you are. Miss, I have a 4.8." She bumped me with her hip and dug into the large brown paper bag.
"I do not have- there is no such thing as a 4.8." I said while rolled my eyes.
"Keep rolling your eyes and they're gonna get stuck like that."
I walked over to the living area. I fished my phone out of my jacket pocket before placing it by the corner of the couch. I walked back to the kitchen to find Brielle elbow deep in jerk chicken wings. Fat ass.
"How was lunch?" She said as she bit into a flat.
"It was good. Vic invited one of his teammates but we made the most of brother sister time today." I unlocked my phone to check some emails. One was from my fashion design professor, with some tips for my portfolio and one was from Henry...again.
"Oooo. A fellow Giant? Which one?"
"Odell."
She stopped chewing and stared at me. I covered my mouth as I giggled.
"I know. Don't even start." I put my hands up in surrender, already knowing where this conversation was going.
"Avie! Odell! OBJ?! The best wide out in the league?! That man is so fine!"
I frowned at her. "He's arguably the best wide out in the league." I got up and walked past her, into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and pulled a bottle of water out.
"Stop fronting. That's not the point! You have to get his number!" She jumped up and down in excitement. You would think that she was gonna be the one dating him.
"I just met him Bri. I don't even know if he's interested." I walked away from her and into the living room.
"Ava. You haven't dated in 3 years. You have to shake Carter off-"
"UP UP UP! We don't speak of demons." I picked up the remote and turned on her DVR.
"Fine, whatever. You're probably gonna wait until he already has some Kylie Jenner ass kisser sitting on his lap."
"Bri. It's not that serious. I LITERALLY just met the guy. And like I JUST said, I don't know if he's interested. Can I get to know him first?"
"No. Get to know his penis. Now! We can't waste time. This is a once in a life time opportunity."
I gave her a look. She took a sip from her wine glass. "Too dramatic? You can always date that fine chocolate bar that you got partnered up with." She sent me a smirk.
"Ughhhhh. Shut up." I said as I got off the couch. I walked to her room to use the bathroom.
I regret even introducing her to Henry. She enjoyed bringing him up a little too much. Brielle has been there to support me through the rollercoaster that was my past relationship. Since that ended and she was confident that was ready for a comeback to the dating scene, she'd been pushing any dude with a pretty smile in my face.
"GROW SOME BALLS!" She yelled jokingly.
I laughed. My phone pinged a few times in my hand. I lifted it to see that I had a new notification from Instagram.
Obj has requested to follow you.
Hm. Time will tell. I opened the app and pressed accept, along with the follow back button.
