"now, we will have Mr. Wen's son up to the podium to say some words. come on up, Junhui."

Junhui walked up to the podium with his head hung low. resisting to allow tears escape his eyes, he stood up at the podium. looking around, he saw Minghao, a tear rolling down his cheek.

"my dad... was the greatest dad in the world. he was always there for me ever since my mom died. he's the greatest father anyone could ask for. he helped me meet Minghao, my bestest friend in this entire world. even after 5 years of being apart, we were still together at heart. dad, you're an amazing father, more amazing than words could ever describe. i always relied on you, told you my problems and everything, and you always helped me figure them out. i couldn't ask for a better dad. thank you so much for everything you've done for me and soooo much more. i love you dad, more than you could ever know..." Jun felt a tear roll down his cheek as his voice died down. no matter how hard he tried to contain it, he couldn't. one tear became two, two became three, and three became four, until he was crying in front of everyone on the podium.

Minghao went up to help him down, both of them with tears sliding down their face.

"now, Xu Minghao, Junhui's best friend, up to the podium please."

Minghao walked up to the podium, hanging his head down low. it had started raining, and he was glad because the rain would hide his tears. "although Mr. Wen isn't my father, he really felt like it. i've lived with my mom since birth, and my birth dad never showed up. my parents were divorced before i was born, and my mom was devastated. don't get me wrong, living with my mom was amazing. but when i met Jun and Mr. Wen, i felt like i found my family. when i met them, i started having a best friend who's dad treated me like my birth dad along with an amazing mom. my mom and Mr. Wen got along so well, just like me and Jun," Minghao said. a tear rolled down his cheek.

he stepped off the podium and went over to Jun, both of them crying onto each other's shoulders. they hugged each other as more people stepped up to the podium and said speeches.

after a long day of wearing black and crying, Jun and Minghao arrived back to the hotel room and they each took turns showering. after both of them had finished, they sat on the bed and turned on the tv.

"hey, Minghao," Jun said. Minghao looked his direction. "tomorrow, we're going to the great wall, okay? your mom agreed to drive us there, and pick us up the next day. we're staying there overnight so pack things you might need."

Minghao nodded as he focused his attention back to the tv. Jun's phone started ringing and both of their attention went there.

Jun answered the facetime video and turned he camera to show both him and Minghao. they were met with the faces of the Seventeen members.

"hey, Jun, Minghao," Seungcheol said. the duo waved and smiled.

"hi, hyung," they said in unison.

"when do you come backkkkkk?" Soonyoung whined while asking.

"we miss you guysssss," Seokmin and Seungkwan joined along.

Jun and Minghao chuckled. "we'll be back in a few days. just wait."

"okay good. i finished up the choreo for adore u, our debut song name, and we will send you a video of the steps so maybe whenever you get a chance, you can review them and-" Soonyoung blabbed on but was interrupted by Jihoon.

"okay... hyung we get it," Jihoon said. he grabbed the phone from Seungcheol's hands and brought it to his face. "you guys, please come back soon. you guys are the only other sane ones i know besides Wonwoo hyung."

Jun and Minghao chuckled once again. "don't worry, hyung. we'll be back soon enough in time for our debut," Minghao said.

"okay. well we have to go now. we'll see you guys later. bye!!!!" the called ended as Jun and Minghao looked at each other and started laughing.

"man, i miss those knuckleheads," Jun said. Minghao nodded his head in agreement.

they sighed as silence filled the air for a few moments. then, Jun got up from the bed.

"we better pack up for tomorrow before going to sleep," he said. Minghao got up as well and nodded his head in agreement as the duo began to pack up their things for their small trip tomorrow.

only a few more chapters left until the book is overrrrr :(
