When it happens, his body goes limp.

His mind goes blank as his muscles slacken. His eyes stay open, watching in slow motion the love of his life, his Sanem

going away.

Now he's a kid again. He could see his mother walking away, turning her back on him without looking back. He could see his brother, a stranger with a different life.

He could hear his sobs, falling down, crying inside a nightmare, alone in a dark room.

He didn't understand why people give up on others. Wasn't there enough love? Wasn't that enough reason for his mother to stay?

But now he felt his father hugging him, saying that everything was fine and that the nightmares would go away. So he slept, promising himself that he wouldn't cling to anyone.

He would be a free bird. Free from cages, deep feelings, and people who could only hurt him. He loved his father and despite the differences he loved his brother too. The only ones he knew love could be reciprocated. And that was it. If he felt trapped, he would fly away and live an adventure, a different life.

Until his father asked him to come back. Even after so many trips, many places visited, stunning scenery, Can never felt something so powerful when Sanem looked into his eyes.

Home.

It had been a long time since he had cried. until now. His tears came down without him noticing.

She was happy. Her eyes glittered with anxiety as he tried to teach her how to drive her new bike.

It was a bit difficult at first, Sanem was very distracted but when she spoke the reason for her distraction he couldn't complain about her. I was looking at you.

She said she knew how to drive now, so he left. It was raining. Can kept his eyes on her as she drove quietly around.

It all happened so fast. She felt fierce and risked something with her bike. The smile that Can kept on his face soon turned into concern.

Sanem crossed a street that looked empty, a car suddenly appeared. Can still hear himself screaming her name and everything came down.

SANEM

He ran.

As fast as he could.

The rain fell harder.

He could see her helmet on one side and a very distocided bike on the other side. He couldn't hear anyone now. He didn't hear the apology of the driver who drove the car. He didn't hear the lady who was nearby calling the ambulance.

SANEM

He just wanted to hear her voice. Her sweet voice. He wanted her to open her eyes and say she was fine.

But she didn't.

Falling down. Crying. Alone.

SANEM

He no longer knew what rain was or what was tears. Everything got blurry as he called her name. Suddenly he was pushed. Doctors stepped in front of him blocking his vision.

They lifted her carefully, placed her on a stretcher toward the ambulance. Can felt the urge to vomit when a path of blood ran down her neck. The neck where he had her scent, Can's best place.
