Chapter Four Damage

"Audrey I cannot stand how ignorant you are! Why did you not take my clothes from the fire?" You guessed it my mom yelled at me in the hotel she was staying in. She had called me over because it was urgent but yet she only wanted to yell at me. "Mom I told you I had already grabbed my clothes when I smelled smoke and by the time I got the papers it was too dangerous to stay in the house." I had told her that at least twice today and that isn't counting the other days. "Oh you stupid bitch,where is my briefcase with all my papers?" She asked, she is strung out on drugs something fierce. I knew where this argument was going to go. I pressed the button on my smart watch, it was programmed to send an emergency alert text to my dad and Peter but J.A.R.V.I.S the A.I. that Tony gave me access to would not speak a word. "On the desk." I told her. "I didn't put it there have you been snooping?" "Mom you put it there last night when you grabbed your meth pipe." As I said that she got up and slapped me across the room. "You stupid ass fucking bitch it was on the nightstand. You lied and went through it while I was asleep." She walked over to me and slapped me again across my face. "No mom I went through it the morning after the fire. I know my father is Tony Stark and he knows about me." I wasn't stuttering and I am surprised. "Dumbass bitch." Slap. "Nosy ass whore." Punch. "Ignorant bitch" Punch and slap. "I hate you." Slap. "I'm leaving early for my trip." She said as she rung my already stinging jaws with a slap that turned my head making me knock my head on the wall. I slowly fell to the floor as everything slowly faded to black.

Tony's P.O.V
I got the emergency alert call. I quickly suited up as I called Peter to make sure he was notified. I still couldn't process my intern dating my daughter, but he seemed to care about her and I could see that he took care of her. "Hello Mr. Stark, I'm heading to Audrey now." he said just as there was another alert, Aubrey's heart rate had sped up. "Panic attack." Peter told me. "I know. We've got to hurry kid. I said as I flew across town staying on the phone. "I think she passed out from her panic attack." Peter said with worry evident in his tone. "No Sir her mother had beaten her, she hit her head on the wall and has fallen unconscious sir." J.A.R.V.I.S said to me. "Oh my God kid she has been beaten by her mom and has fallen unconscious." I told Peter. "It won't be the first time." he said. As we arrived, I ran up to the front desk and demanded to know the room number. Once it was given to me I ran for the room with Peter right behind me. I didn't bother knocking as I just barged in. I saw Audrey laying in the floor in an awkward position, her knees were slightly bent she was laying on one arm and the other was placed tightly against the wall. I saw a note on the bed, I took it as Peter went to her side. I read the note aloud.

I am sick and tired of your attitude, you had no business going through my briefcase. Your father does not want you. I hope you got what you wanted and I hope you learned a lesson tonight. When I get back from this business trip I'm sending you away. I will make arrangements when I get home.

I will not allow her to be sent away, although Alice is right I didn't want kids; but now that I know about Audrey she is my flesh and blood. I will do everything in my power to protect her. I have to get her to the court house and get it documented that she is my daughter. I will get her and I up there once she is awake. It's so sad how her mother treats her, and how could she get mad at her for snooping through her stuff; that was literally the only  way she would ever know. "Mr. Stark." Peter snapped me out of my thoughts. "Yes." I said as I actually examined my daughter. Her face was red and had hand prints, bruises and small cuts on her cheek. I could see the pained expression of her face, she had to have been in pain when she passed out. I kneeled down beside her as I held her close to me, her breathing was shallow but I knew she would he fine. I picked her up and walked out of the hotel. "Take her back to the tower, meet me in the infirmary." I told Peter,I knew he would want to take her plus if she woke up she might be more comfortable. "Uhh Mr.Stark? What if she wakes up she doesn't know I'm Spider-Man." I nodded thinking for a moment. "Well I will take her." I said as I held her tightly and blasted off heading to the tower. It took me hardly any time at all to get there. I quickly ran inside with her still completely dead to the world, I got her to the infirmary with Peter on my tail. She was laid down on a bed, Peter and I sat next to her. I held one hand and he held the other. It was then that Bruce entered. "So what happened?" he asked. I was about to speak when Peter began. "Well her uhm her mom is uhh rather uhm abusive and Uhh she hits her and I'm guessing she slapped her and knocked her down. It's not the first time this has happened." I nodded, I felt sorry for what she had been through; Bruce examined her and took her vitals. "She should be up soon, I suggest you get a room ready for her Tony because no way she is going back to her mother. You're going to have to get it documented that you are her father so she can live here." he said. "I already plan on doing so,when she wakes up I'm talking to her about it.

Audrey P.O.V
It was awful what that bitch did to me the drugs have really changed her. Once I had woken up Tony suggested that we go get it documented that I am his daughter and he even wants me to have his last name. I agreed with him,it would be great to have him officially in my life. So the following day we went to the courthouse and we had to a bunch of paperwork. It took a couple of hours to do all of it, but once it was over I felt relief. I could finally say that I have a father and he is in my life, I even have his last name to prove it. I think my name has a nice ring to it. I mean Audrey Faith Stark sounds pretty good to me. Once we left the courthouse I went over to Peter's and spent time with him. I am truly in love with him but I can't help notice he has been acting a little strange lately. I'm almost positive it's nothing, and he's just trying to adjust to our new relationship but either way my life was perfect at this moment. I just hope that my dad can stop my mom sending me away. I don't think it'll be a problem because he is my father and it's documented now so he will have a say in me being sent away. It was later now and I felt my eyes heavy, I had been talking to Peter and telling him all about my day. I knew my mom wanted to send me away because my dad told me he found a note. I sent my dad a text letting him know I would be staying at Pete's. I smile as he leans down to peck my lips  softly. I put my phone on the charger and I fell into a deep slumber in Peter's warm embrace. My head was laid on his chest, my arms around him, his arms were around me. It was always nice when I slept in his arms.
