Chapter 5 The Anouncement.

I woke up the next morning to the bright ass sun coming through my window, which had a large city view. I got out of bed and realized that I had overslept so no running for me today. I quickly got up and got dressed into a pair of light wash skinny jeans a black flowy top with Queen written in cursive sequin letters. I put on my tan wedge boots and grabbed my school bag. I ran down the hall to the kitchen, I saw Steve fixing two plates. "Hey Steve, sorry I overslept." "It's alright don't stay up so late tonight tomorrow we run double." He said handing me a plate of eggs with bacon and cheese toast. "Thank you Steve." I said as I sat down and began eating as he did the same. As I was eating breakfast I glanced at the blaring tv to hear the news reporter talk about a plane crash. "It has been brought to our omnidirectional attention with breaking news that there has been a plane crash flying from a Michigan to New York, flight number 451 there are no reported survivors." "I spit out my orange juice and looked at Steve." "My mom was on that flight wow she's dead." "I'm sorry but maybe it's for the best she was really toxic." When I was finished with breakfast i washed my plate quickly. Then I pulled my hair into a side ponytail and ran out the door with Steve following behind me. I grabbed my helmet and climbed on his bike and he took me to school. When I arrived at school everyone was outside this morning, so I climbed off his bike and gave him a hug. "Thank you." I said "No problem. I'll pick you up." I nodded and bid him a farewell. I walked up to the school as people whispered about Captain America dropping me off at school. "HEY, HOW DO YOU KNOW CAPTAIN AMERICA?" Flash shouted. "Well I guess your that behind Flash, Tony Stark is my father so I kind of live with him." "Whoa kid look we know your mother is a bitch but you don't have to make up lies." I hated flash. "I can prove it and you know you really are behind because you didn't have to bring up my dead mother." "Prove it." I smirked. "Hey J.A.R.V.I.S is Tony awake?" "Yes ma'am would you like me to ring him?" "Please." I said as my phone began to ring Tony. "Hey Tony aren't you my father?" "Yes,Why? What did you do?" "Oh nothing just some idiot at school didn't believe me." "Well how about this afternoon after school, we make a public announcement that I am your father. I'm proud to have a smart, beautiful,talented daughter like you." "Sure thing." "Alright kiddo have a good day at school." "I will bye. Love you." "Love you too kiddo." Then I hung up the phone and gave Flash a glare as I walked inside and went to the cafeteria,I sat down since I already had breakfast and waited for Pete and the others to arrive. It took about fifteen minutes before they did. I had completely dazed off into my own thoughts when I felt warm arms around me. I looked up to see Pete. I stood up and wrapped my arms around him. "So I've got to tell you something." I said. "What?" "This afternoon after school my dad is making a public announcement that he is my father." "Did he think of the dangers that could cause?" "I guess not but I mean I already have a body guard and Steve takes me to school, and only other place I go is to see you but you are never home anymore." I said. "Yeah let's go somewhere more private." He said grabbing me and dragging me outside and around the back of the school. "So you know we have no secrets right?" I nodded. "Well I have been keeping one thing from you my love. Please don't freak out when I tell you." "Are you cheating on me?" "No my love never." He said leaning down to kiss me softly. "I'm umm I'm uhh I'm Spider-Man, the uhm internship with Tony yeah I'm Spider-Man." I stepped back shocked. "Why didn't you tell me?" "Well only you and Ned know." "You told Ned before you told me." "I'm sorry Audrey." "Audrey you're calling me Audrey." "I'm sorry baby." "I can't believe you what else are you keeping from me?" "Nothing." "I'm out peace." "Why?" "I'm just done." " Are we over?" "I'll think about it." I said as I pushed past him and walked away holding back tears, I couldn't believe he told Ned before me his own damn girlfriend. We promised each other a long time ago when we first became friends that we would never keep secrets and he broke that promise. "Wait Audrey! I love you!" He shouted. "If you loved me you wouldn't keep secrets." I said without stopping and I didn't plan on it. "Audrey Stop." He said chasing after me, but I kept walking. When he caught up to me he stopped me by catching my arm, he pinned me against a locker with his body in front of mine,his hands on my hips. "Baby look at me." "No." I said looking at the ground. "Please." I shook my head,then he took my face in his hand and lifted my chin up to face him. "Listen I'm sorry I told Ned before you, I didn't know how to tell you and I didn't want to to worry about me you've had too much going on lately. I know I should have told you and you have every right to be mad but please don't leave me. I love you so much and I don't wanna throw away six months because I was stupid and didn't tell you and that caused our first fight I don't want it to cause us to break up because the thought of losing you and seeing you with some other guy kills me. Please baby girl I love you and I'm sorry. Forgive me?" I smirked but I nodded. "Now kiss me." I said. "Hold on." He said as he threw me on his back and ran outside, then he threw a web to the top of the school and ran across the roof. "Hold on tight." He said as we then swung a good distance across town. "Where are we going?" I asked. "You'll see." He said. We swung across town and ended up in a secluded area of Central Park. We were in what we called our spot because nobody ever came here,we've been coming here since we were in middle school. "Now for that kiss." He said as he picked me up and spun me around as he kissed me passionately. "I love you so much Audrey." "I love you so much too Peter. I want forever with you my Spider-Man." "You're gonna have me forever my Iron-Girl." "I'm not a super hero." "I'm glad I'd worry too much." I smiled. "If I was you'd know how I'm gonna feel everyday with you being Spider-Man but I'm glad I know." "Me too." He said as he kissed me passionately again and I kissed him back with more passion than I had the last time. I pulled away and suited up. "My turn,hold on tight." I said as I blasted off at full speed. "Oh my gosh I'm telling Mr. Stark about this." "I'm sure he will find it hilarious." I said as we landed in front of the school, as the first bell rang. I gave Pete a quick peck on the lips that he returned and I ran off to my first class of the day. I dreaded my classes so much, even the ones I normally like because right now I know all the materials so it's boring; but luckily the day went by fast and school was over. I said goodbye to Ned and MJ; then I kissed Peter goodbye giving him a hug. I walked over to Steve's bike and put on my helmet, then I climbed on and held on to the back of the bike as he sped off. I looked back to see everyone staring in our direction like they were in total shock. I can see why though, I am riding on the back of Captain America's bike but to me it isn't that big of a deal. I guess it's because to me he's just an average guy with a ton of strength and a big flashy shield, but he happens to be like family to me because I live with him. It's just a different perspective for me, I don't look at him as a super hero like everyone else does, now don't get me wrong I do reconize he is a super hero but we are very close friends so I look at him as my big brother not just a super hero. We arrived at the tower in no time, I got off the bike and ran inside. I went inside and I was greeted by my father who told me to get changed into something fancy. So I went up to Natasha's room knocking on her door. "Come in." She said with a tinge of a Russian accent evident in her voice. I opened her door and stepped in. "Hey Nat, Tony is addressing the public,telling them I'm his daughter." "Oh I guess he's excited but that isn't the best idea but I assume it's better that way." "I'm really protected I mean Happy is my body guard, Steve takes me to school and picks me up, my boyfriend is Spider-Man and last but not least my best friend is Black Widow." "Very true, so what do you need me for?" She asked raising an eyebrow. "Help me pick my outfit?" I asked. She nodded getting up and following me to my room across the hall. I walked into my room and went straight to my closet, I pulled out a black dress that was above the knee, it wasn't flashy it was just dressy but still casual; it was one that would show off my curves. I walked over and laid it across my bed, which had been made neatly thank God we have maids. I then pulled out a red dress that was also above the knee and it had a blue belt that went with it, I laid it on my bed as well. I also pulled a out a black dress with sequins across the sweetheart neckline, and sequins around the flowly see through half length sleeves stopping just past my elbows; at the bottom the dress had sequins all around it. It was a very flashy dress. "Which one?" I asked as I laid that one down as well. "Well if it were me I would go with the plain black one but add a red necklace,but for you I'd go with the sequin dress and add a gold necklace if you have one,and those sparkly silver shoes." She said pointing to my wedges. I nodded in agreement as she put the other ones up. "We have to do your make up. "I don't wear makeup." "You are today." I knew I couldn't win against her so I just waited while she grabbed her makeup. I sat down at my vanity as she walked back in the room, I really didn't want to wear makeup. "So you don't have any makeup at all?" She asked. "Well I do have a thing of consealer to cover blimishes when I get them." "Where?" "Bathroom it's on the counter." She grabbed it quickly, when she came back she began applying primer to my face. Then she applied the foundation, she put on what she called eyeshadow primer then she added eyeshadow,she used a white eyeshadow mixed with a charcoal grey which she used to make what she called a smokey eye. Then she applied eyeliner to top and bottom and added mascara, I swear I have never blinked that much in my entire life. "Now for lipstick." She smiled. "No." I said bluntly. "Yes." She said as she pulled out a cherry red lipstick applying it to my lips. I sighed in defeat as she finished. I turned around to look in the mirror, I looked completely different but it wasn't a bad different I kind of liked it. She then pulled my hair out of my side ponytail, she braided two strands on each side and made a crown; she let the rest fall freely. I got up and stepped into my dress as she zipped it is for me. "You look hot." She said as I smiled. "Thanks Nat." I said as I walked out of my room and into the living area. I expected very little people to be there but everyone including my boyfriend was there. I blushed as I saw Peter looking at me in awe. "You look beautiful in that dress, but I like you better without makeup. It shows your natural beauty my love." He said as he hugged me and kisses me on the cheek which got us a unison of awes. "Nat made me wear it." I said as I returned the kiss on his cheek. "Ready kiddo?" Tony asked. I nodded and we went down to the parking deck and got into one of Tony's many fancy cars, we drove the Porshe. When we arrived there was tons of paparazzi taking pictures asking who I was and blah blah. I ignored them as Tony did as well, once we were inside we were escorted to the stage where we would be interviewed. It wasn't long before the interview started, a woman dressed in a very bussiness like suit with a white shirt under came out. She took a seat across from us in a chair. "Hello Mr. Stark, who do you have with you today?" "This is my daughter, Audrey Stark, she is fourteen." I waved, I was a bit nervous and afraid I was going to stutter if I spoke. "So Audrey tell me how you found out that this billionaire Playboy is your father." "W-Well I went through my late mother's paperwork while she was away on business and then I j-just showed up at the tower and demanded to see Tony." I said then Tony stepped in. "After she said she was my daughter at first I didn't believe her but she demanded a D.N.A test so I obliged and it was positive and my name is on her birth certificate." "I see Mr. Stark, what do you want the world to know about Miss Stark?" "I would like the world to know that I am very happy to have a daughter and I'm very proud of her." "That is great Mr. Stark, Miss Audrey what is it like being the daughter of Iron Man?" "Well i-it's great, but I don't see him as Iron Man or a super hero who has saved the world many times, I see him as my father who cares about me and takes care of me and makes sure I'm protected. I'm not allowed to ride the bus which I'm thankful for, Captain America takes me to school and picks me up and if I go anywhere I have a body guard, so it's great that he makes sure I'm well protected. I feel like I'm lucky to have found him because my mother was an abusive drug addict." "Well what happened to your late Mother?" "W-Well despite being a drug addict she had a great career, she was a traveling journaist for the news and she died in a fairly recent plain crash." "Who was your mother?" "Alice Wilson." " Oh yes I'm aware of her, she was such a sweet woman; I can't imagine her being an abusive drug addict." "Well there's a lot that goes on behind closed doors and one of those things were her drug problem and the other was being emotionality and physically abusive to me." I said getting a little upset. I guess Tony noticed because then he spoke. "Any more questions for us today. "Is there anyone special in your life Miss Audrey?" "Uhm there is someone yes." "Mr. Stark how do you feel about your daughter dating at her age?" "I mean I don't like it as any father would, but she was already seeing him before she found out I was her father so I can't just tell her she can't date him, plus they have known each other their whole lives and they truly care for each other. I can see it by the way they look at each other." "I see well that will be all for today. Thank you so much for coming." We both nodded and we got up and left. When we walked out of the building we we're bombarded with questions regarding me being his daughter but we ignored them and headed back to the tower after we finally got passed the reluctant paparazzi. Once we arrived I ran inside and went to the living area to be greeted by everyone. It was Peter who approached me first. "So there's someone huh?" "Yeah he's a great guy and I wouldn't trade him for the world , I just think my love life is our business." I told him smiling like an idiot. Then everyone else congratulated me on how well I did, despite the little stuttering I did. They knew I stuttered when I was nervous or upset. I went to my room to change,I changed into a pair of black yoga leggings and a Stark industries long sleeve t-shirt my dad gave me. Then I texted Pete to come up to my room for the rest of the evening we sat around and watched movies.
