         Chapter 9: Sneaking Out

     Donald's POV:

   "So then, I hit a home run!"

    "Oh really?" Alexa says sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

    "Yep! Impressive, isn't it?"

   Alexa smiles and looks at him with love eyes.

    "No." She says as her face falls to no expression. "You don't even play baseball."

    She gets up and walks to the kitchen.

    Liam really likes this chick.

     "Nice try." Skyla says as she pats Liam's back and walks to Alexa.

     Liam frowns and looks at me.

   "What's gotten into you? You've been spacing out this whole time!" Liam says with a smirk. "Is it that one girl?"

   "What 'one girl'?" I ask.

   "The Lucy girl."

   I open my mouth to speak but my mother comes.

    "Bedtime." And she turns the light off.

   We go to sleep, but I can't sleep.

    A missed call from Lucy.

     I smile.

    Let's call her back, shall we?

   I press the call back button and it starts ringing.

   She answers.

"Hey, Lucy, I got your missed call. Listen, I'm sorry I didn't answer... I got into a bit of an argument with my family. And I was busy... so is there a reason why you called?"

        "Oh yeah... uh... I was wondering... how everything went with your parents."

           I sighed.

         "Great, I guess... but, I still don't understand this whole situation."

           "Oh?"

           "Maybe, we should meet up again. You know, so you can explain all this to me."

      I smirked.

          "Sure..."

       I smirked again.

           "Perfect. Meet me at the park in 30 minutes, I would pick you up, but..."

          "You don't know where I live," She pauses. "See you at the park."

         "Sweet."

     She hung up, only making me smile like an idiot.

     "I told you it was her that makes you smile like you just saw Shakira naked."

     What the f*ck?

    "Liam, you have issues." Alexa says with a bit of sarcasm.

    "I have to go somewhere." I say as I walk towards the door.

    "You're not going anywhere, Donald."

    And cue the angry mother.

     "But mom!"

     "No, Donald."

     She leaves.

     I roll my eyes and open the door.

    "Donald, your mom said no." Alexa says as I walk out the door.

    "Whatever."

    "You made it." She says with a smile.

    "Yeah, a bit late, but again, I don't have super speed."

    "But you have a car."

    I smirk.

     "I walked."

   "Why?" She smiles.

     Because I totally couldn't stop thinking about you, and I forgot to get my car keys.

    "Cars pollute the world." I blurt out.

    She starts laughing.

     I would laugh too.

    "So you wanted to talk?"

    I nod.

       She was talking.

      I was staring.

     Not listening.

    "You're so beautiful." I blurt out.

    "And I-" She looks at me. "What?"

     She starts blushing.

    Crap... did I really say that?

    "You are," I walk closer to her. "You're one of the most beautiful girls I've ever met."

     She blushes.

     I close the space between us.

     "I think, I like you, Lucy." I whisper.

     I cup her face with my hands.

      "I think I like you too." She says softly.

      As our eyes meet, I lean in, and kiss her.

          "I know, this is crazy and that I sound like an idiot."

         She smiles.

         We reach her house.

         "I love you, Lucy." I say softly.

        Lucy smiles, but then her face falls into a frown.

         "You have to go home, Donald."

         "What?"

         "Now!"

         "Lucy, what are you ta-"

       I felt something hit me.

        And everything, went dark.
