I collapse on the floor, exhausted and laughing. I beat Quin in the pillow fight of course. As if Chicken Legs ever stood a chance against me.
"I was serious though, I really want cake," I say to Quin who is laying on the stairs, pretending to be dead. He gets up and rolls his eyes at me.
"You and your never-ending appetite," he says smiling down at me. "Its already 1:30, we should eat lunch." He offers me his hand, to help me get up. I wave it away and get up on my own. "No, I want cake."
He laughs at me.
"I'm being really fucking serious here Chicken Legs," I yell. "I really want to make a cake! I'm hungry!"
"Then eat a salad," He says. I scrunch up my nose in disgust.
"Eww, why would I eat a salad? That's gross, you health nut," He turns around to roll his eyes at me.
"Lets at least eat lunch first," he says. "We can do that after we put the cake in the oven," I protest.
"No," he says coldly.
"Yes," I say.
"No."
"Yes."
"Nope, not before lunch," he says. "Meanie." I say back.
He shakes his head at me, rolls his eyes, and then smiles. Ha, I've won. I think, smiling victoriously.
"Fine," he says, "but you're eating a salad with your lunch."
"Okeydokey," I say and run of to the kitchen. As we make the cake Quin asks, "So, why are we making a Panic At The Disco cake again?"
"Because Panic! is amazing," I retort, while mixing the batter.
"Oh Quin, you forgot to butter the pans." I say.
"Oops," Quin says, "I'll do that now." While he turns around to go do that, he says "So you never really replied to my question about what you thought that video was about."I stop in my tracks. I bite my lip. I feel really bad lying to him. We've been friends for 14 years, and I've been lying to him the whole time about nearly everything. But he can't know. At least not yet.
"I think it was faked," I force out, lying through my teeth and go back to mixing my batter.
"Yeah," he says turning around to smile at me, "It is kinda hard to believe."
Not really, I think."Quin," I say.
"Yes?" He asks.
"Did you preset the oven?" I ask him. "Oh, shit! I forgot!" He yells. I laugh at him and finish off the batter. If only he knew. I think to myself.
