Chapter 8

Hunter

Dark skies filled with stars and humid surroundings made Georgeanna roused from her depthless sleep. Covered with damp sweat she felt sticky and have the urged to change her clothes.

Getting up from the ground and defying her own equilibrium from the sleep she stumbled and fall on her bum against the moist ground. Muttering a loud and profane oath, life couldn't get better, she thought mockingly.

Glancing on the field where she brought herself she think if somebody would find her and save her from the mess she entered. Over sixteen hours being away from Boston she's bound from the biggest adventure she ever had, or was is disaster imperilment? Being away from your comfort zone tends to exploit yourself on something risky and fun. But on the contrary, fun is the last thing she needs right now that reminds her current shelter.

She on the caliginous woods instead of her own bedroom, clammily environs in place of her fluffy comforter and untold maze which she preferably replace for her family's villa in Boston.

A sound of crack of wood somewhere snap from her random thoughts. Alertness profound her standing on her feet with aching bum listening intently at the noise surrounds.

Footsteps, more wood crack wind whirling and a sudden hubbub she heard afar.

Danger.

She's on danger now. They already found her, she need to run fast as she can. Turning, she started to run on the opposite direction of the voices, running with no direction and wincing from pain every time a thicket cuts and marred her skin. She can't tolerate the cuts and her tortured bum anymore but this is the point of her pain and running, to get away from Lazarus, from Serah to anyone who live on that subdivision.

Suddenly a man appears on her front a few yards away and how come she didn't saw it coming. Stopping dead from her tracks she glanced at her right and left shoulder to see nobody and start to drift in different route when the man spoke behind.

"Luna." the guy smirks at her, sizing her from head to toe as if she's some a microscopic substance. "Don't hurt yourself anymore. You can't escape me." Autocratical and sarcasm is obvious on the tone of the lad. That's when Georgeanna whirled around to have a word to him.

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" Seeing the man, to her own dismay it's not Lazarus. "If your a wolf too you can come back to your king.."

"Alpha." Correcting her choice of words while smiling smugly at her. The guy is handsome in of rugged way, flat stomach which is flaunted because he is half naked a height few feet away from her and an attitude of an egotistical jerk. She can sense it the way he talk, the stance of his built and the arrogance of his tone.

"Whatever his tittle tell him I don't care if I die today trying to escape rather than die in your group."

"Dying eh, the Alpha won't like the way you spoke death on simple basis. You need too be back on the pack house. So everybody will not be executed because of your stupid escapade." Mordancy is out now.

"What?! Someone will behead because of me? That's absurd, well look at me I'm just a nobody...."

"Well the nobody happens to be our Luna eh, you need to come with me." Firmly said and drawing a step closer to her, she inch far away and started to drift off towards the woods.

Running away while shouting at the guy "You fool I'll never go with you, I'll rather die fir...aaaaawwww!" Slipping from the rocks or a slimy decaying leaves she can't saw anything and assume which of both is the reason she is falling gradually and hoping she wouldn't get a head trauma because she didn't want to die a virgin, yet.

Before her body slump to the ground somebody run from her peripheral vision, snagging her body as if defying the gravity and after the great momentum of fall she discovered there's nothing pain added by her early aching bum instead she felt like flying or more on floating in the air. Opening her eyes she's floating indeed, spoon style in the muscular arms of the egotistical jerk who happens to save her from more injuries. Felt like flying because they are running in inhuman speed which national triathlon athletes failed in comparison. She didn't know what to do, act like a child and slap his grim face or just go with him and the wind literally. Hungry with a headache and sore body Georgeanna felt a loser already.

Questions and decisions is hard to make when your on the weakest state of you're life. That's why she hates being weak, she hates being ordinary, she hates being anybody's doll, she hates being manipulated by somebody just simply she hates her life.

Fighting over slapping and sleeping she chose the latter, closing her eyes as if somebody cast a spell on her and made her sleep.

Looking downwards on his arms is they're future Luna, well it's unofficial but he bets Lazarus will make it official sooner as the fine human lass will drive back on the hands of their alpha.

Damn!, How this weak human survived a long hours in a forest full of wild animals, clammy weather and rouges waiting a prey surrounding their territory.

The pack house now must doubled their security because they've got a fiery, feisty Luna that can escape without the notice of the highly trained wolves. Her quiet escapade is a big question of how she done it so perfectly without a trace.

He now understand why Lazarus is very adamant of finding her. Gorgeous. A one word describes everything about her. Despite all the cuts that smeared with dried blood, the leaves on her disheveled hair and the dirty clothes she's utterly and despisingly gorgeous. Lucky alpha, he really gets the best of the rest.

Getting closer to the pack house he mentally connect all the channels of wolves, announcing in mind-link that she found their Luna, and to his confidence their alpha might be raging and fuming with anger now because he is the one who caught their Luna.

Arriving he saw all the pack members and at the front is no other than the formidable Alpha Lazarus.

'Bow down your head at the alpha while you're handling him the Luna.' mind linked by Eric the pack group's beta.

Ignoring Eric's preamble he proceeded to the alpha and stood face to face with him.

"Give me to her." roaring with fury and no gentleness tone Lazarus growl at him.

Looking at the sleeping luna he can't wait to hold her, his Luna is not on the good shape and it's giving grief to his wolf that is very eager to hold its mate.

Everyone's eyes darts on the capturer's direction and resolutely he gave Georgeana without fuss in the eyes of the disbelief pack members. The beta exhaled not so loudly at the happenings, the group cannot manage to have another chaos tonight between the alpha and the prodigal cousin.

Holding his Luna is the greatest pleasure he can get after the day full of tumult. Maybe he needs ropes and chains to bind his Luna to his side and won't let this situation happen again. He possessed all control in his pack, but when it comes to her he's a powerless alpha male. Shifting towards the entrance of the pack house Lazarus mumbled coherent and clear words for a wolf ears to hear, "Welcome back Hunter."
