I stormed out and went straight home.
Once I got there i went to my room to think and process.
I wasn't mad jug. I was mad at the fact that a year ago I told my mom I wanted to become a serpent and she totally freaked out and told me if I even thought about it again she would send me to the sisters of quiet mercy.
Only to find out that she wasn't just a serpent. SHE WAS THE FUCKING QUEEN!!. RIGHT ALONG WITH JUGS FATHER!!!
And chic didn't tell me.he was a serpent.
I wonder if mom knows. If she does I'm going off. Cuz how is he allowed to be a serpent when I'm not.
That's bullshit!
I heard my mom's heels walking toward my door and I prepared what I was about say.

Alice: Hey Betty dinners ready
Betty: Hey mom can we talk
Alice: Sure
Betty: How come u got upset when I told u I wanted to become a serpent
Alice: Elizabeth I'm not having this conversation with you right now
Betty: But mom I just dont understand
Alice: You don't need to understand I'm the parent and you're the child. I'm right your wrong.
Betty: But mom there must be some explanation u have to not liking them
Alice: Cuz Betty they're dangerous
Betty: But how would you know.
Alice: OMG CUZ I WAS A SERPENT...
Betty:.....
Alice: I was the.......queen of serpents..
Betty: So you got on my head about being a serpent when you were the queen??
Alice: Look there's a reason you just have to trust me on this...
Betty: Mom u lied to me...I dont know if I can just......'trust you'
Alice: The serpents do stuff... illegal stuff
Betty: Like drugs
Alice: Oh no Betty that was the ghoulies ... we didn't do that.
Betty: oh
Alice: But we did get blamed for it tho
Betty: Then what did they do
Alice: we hurt....people. Really bad people. And sometimes good people
Betty: that's it
Alice: The point is Betty that the serpents are dangerous and you have to be fully committed. Not partially a Southside serpent and a Northside princess
Betty: But I can do both
Alice: That would be cool but it's not possible
Betty: Yea it is
Alice: how
Betty: Cuz u did it

She started smiling really hard

Betty: Another thing
Alice: what's up
Betty: how come chic gets to be a serpent but I can't??
Alice: That is a different story for a different time after we eat our dinner.

She kissed me on my forehead before leaving my room to go make plates.
She's hiding something...

And I'm gonna find out
