A bit of backstory: A lot of the Avengers cast knew about Tom's huge celebrity crush on you, and when he had heard you were going to get cast he was beyond excited. After you had gotten cast, since the Avengers is such a huge franchise, you two hadn't met yet, but everyone was becoming aware of your huge celebrity crush on him too. •TOM'S POV•
Tom stood next to Robert on the red carpet, Avengers: Infinity War plastered a billion times on the wall behind him. "Oh yeah," Robert said to the interviewer. "Tom's amazing." "Thank you." Tom said to him. "Likewise." Tom had taken a look around after that comment, when he saw someone that caught his eye. He was still staring at her as he tried to tap Robert on the shoulder a bunch of times. "Oh my gosh! Robert!" Robert looked in the direction he was looking and laughed. "Stay here." He chuckled, and went off in the direction of Y/N. "What's going on here?" The interviewer asked Tom, and he explained his celebrity crush on Y/N. "So now I'm just gonna... stare at her for a bit."
•Y/N's POV•
When The Robert Downey Jr. came walking over to you, and called your name, you were star struck. You guys had met before, but only a couple times. You were way more star struck the first time you two had met. Your hands went to your cheeks, as you said, "oh my god." He chuckled, as he pulled you in for a hug. You hugged back, and he gestured for you to come. "You guys come too." He told the interviewer that had been interviewing you, and the cameraman. Chris Evans came up beside you. "Is it finally time?" He asked Robert chuckling, and Robert nodded. "Let's go play matchmaker.
•TOM'S POV•
By the time Robert got back, he had his hands around Y/N's shoulders, guiding her to Tom. Anthony Mackie had noticed the commotion, and came to join the fun. "Wow, it seriously took this long?" He asked, shaking his head. "Took this long for what?" Y/N asked, before finally approaching you. She smiled at you, her cheeks coloring. Tom looked down at his shoes squeaked out a "hi."
