The bright lights were blinding. Unrecognizable voices were echoing off the concrete walls as they drew closer. Several beams of flashlights landed on Kat, huddled in the far back corner of the cell. She was covered in dirt and blood, trembling.

"Miss?" A man knelt before her. "We are here to help you." He held out a helping hand.

Kat took it with hesitance, still shaking.

"Come with us, we'll take you home." The man reassured as he placed a leading hand on the small of her back.

Kat reacted with a painful twist to his wrist. The man backed away, holding his wrist tenderly as he cursed loudly.

"Relax, we aren't going to hurt you." Another man said, holding his hands out cautiously like he was trying to calm a cornered animal. That was what she was. Kat cautiously followed the group of men out of the hell that she had lived through for uncountable years. She couldn't wait to be home again.
