6~The Attack

Previously on Living In The Other World

Hannah went closer to the source of the cry.Sky came with her to only see a.....

Bloody and Injured Lion-like small cat with pointy ears,blood-stained white fur,and black tiger-like stripes. Looks very surreal right?
The poor creature was badly injured.Its left right leg is dislocated and it has a long gash in its belly. Only a huge animal can do this to a small and fragile creature. The cat-like creature has a huge scratch in its cheeks,inevitable to leave a scar in the cat's face.
What terrified the girls most is that the cat is swimming in its own pool of blood.

Sky kneeled beside the creature."W-what happened to you..." Sky said shakily while giving the cat a sympathetic look. She went to reach out for the cat but the cat hissed at her. She reluctantly put her hands on her lap. She needed to do something. The creature needed help. The creature needs them.

Sky quickly ripped her coat's fabric and she carefully picked up the cat.
The cat started thrashing in her grasp. Sky's hands started to get scratches. Sky did her best to bandage the cat's leg but it was no use. It was very dislocated. She did bandage the huge gash,which prevented further blood loss.She kept on trying to bandage the cats leg.

Meanwhile

Hannah opened the flash of her phone. She heard some shuffling in the deeper part of the alley. "Hannah!Where are you going?!?" Josh semi-yelled while he held Hannah's arm,preventing her from moving in her place. "I heard some shuffling,maybe there's more of those!" Hannah said while pointing to the creature Sky was tending to.
While the two were arguing, a huge gush of wind stopped the two from quarreling. Both of them looked at the alley. They stared at it for a moment until a part if the alley got really dark. Hannah positioned her phone towards the darkest part but only to see the dark not fading away. While the two are getting confused, Sky finally bandaged the cat's leg. The cat was whimpering in pain. Sky tried to soothe it with calming words. "Its gonna be okay.." she whispered to the cat. While keeping her eyes on the cat she said to her companions "Guys lets go...." she said while keeping her eyes on the unconscious cat.

"Roaarrrr!!!!!!"

A creature roared in the far distance. Based on its roar,its a huge creature.
In the distance the trio saw fire blasting in the air. After a minute light erupted from the distance. The trio ran as fast as they could,while Sky is slowly running,minding that there is an injured creature in her hands.
When they arrived at the place,they saw two weird people wearing knightly clothes. A girl was on the ground collapsed and barely breathing. Her head was bleeding. In front of her stood protectively a guy who was clutching to his sword. He already looks tired.
The guy was breathing continuously. He is exhausted.Sky gave the injured cat to Hannah. The trio stood there shocked. Hannah almost ran to the injured woman. "Stay back humans!" The guy yelled. "humans?" the trio thought. Not even a minute passed the guy collapsed. He was breathing heavily.

The trio heard shuffling on the other side of the alley.
They looked to the other side and they're eyes widen.
There stood a dark shadow of a huge wolf,but what they didnt know was that its a pack they're facing. There were only 3 wolves left,their alpha and two more wolves.
"I said stay back!!" the man yelled again. Hannah looked over the injured woman. She ran to the woman carefully. "M-ma'am are you o-okay?" Hannah asked shakily because of fear.

The two stood in their places frightened to move. 3 pairs of red eyes were looking at light blue ones. Then in an instant the wolves jumped at Sky. Luckily for Sky she stepped out of the way. Josh distracted the other wolf,sadly he distracted one wolf only. He took one sword that was laying in the ground.It was heavy but he didnt mind the weight. He readied himself and stood in a stance. "I read to much fantasy books" Josh muttered and sighed. The wolf started to attack Josh. Josh defensively blocked the attacks of the wolf. He saw an opening and thrusted his sword to the side of the wolf. The wolf rolled away from Josh and cried in pain.
The wolf stood up,staggering at the same time.
