The next morning I wake up to an unusually warm feeling engulfing me. I turn trying to get closer to the warmth. I open my eyes to see a chest. I slowly look up and see Roman. I wiggle out of his grasp and fall to the ground with a loud crash. He bolts upright and looks over the side of the bed worried. "Hey Ro," I said smiling slightly, embarrassed.

He cocks an eyebrow and puts a hand out for me. I take it and get up. "Why'd you fall on the ground?" He asks getting out of bed.

I go and grab some clothes from where I had them stored. "I thought it would be comfortable," I say walking out of the room and towards the bathroom. I put on a black oversized sweater with dark gray sweatpants. I put in one dangly earring and on some black converse.

I look into the mirror and nod, slightly satisfied with how I looked. I walk out and back to the room and Roman disappeared so I head to the kitchen after I smell the faint smell of bacon.

I see Roman and his mom cooking. He has a red and white apron on. He puts a strip of bacon in the pan and it starts sizzling. He yelps in pain. "Shit!" He yells sucking his finger.

His mom gasps. "Roman! Watch your language!" She yells hitting him in the back of the head. "I told you to be careful putting it in there."

"Sorry, Mama," He says rubbing the back of his head. He turns around and sees me standing there watching them. "Virgil!" He exclaims running towards me. "How much of that tragedy did you see?" He asks shakingly.

"Oh not much," I said pausing. "Just...all of it." I smirk and he frowns crosses his arms. I chuckle at his childish behavior.

"Not funny!" He exclaims beginning to laugh afterwards. We laugh and his younger brother, Grayson walks in.

"What are you two laughing at?" He asks giving us a sideways glance. He walks to the fridge and pulls out a bottle of water.

"Oh, nothing Grayson," Roman says smiling at me and getting back to work.

"Ro, you can't lie to me. I'm fifteen now." He says taking a sip of his water.

"I wasn't lying to you Grayson, I just said it wasn't anything important just...you had to be there." Roman explains.

"Well, actually you said..." Grayson clears his throat. "Oh, nothing Grayson." He says mimicking Roman's voice "Also if I had to be there to get it why was mom not laughing? She was here." He says raising his brow.

I have to stifle a laugh at Roman's bewildered expression. "Grayson be nice to your brother." Their mom says.

Grayson crosses his arms. "Why should I? He hasn't been back home since he left to be a big-time, actor! Oh, and how did that work out for him?! Not at all! He doesn't care about us so why does he show up now!" He asks storming off towards his room.

Roman is about to go after him but I stop him. "Don't. Give him time to cool off." He sits down looking defeated.

"Roman you know that's not true right?" I ask grasping his hand. He looks down. "Roman that isn't true. Listen to me. You care about your family you just have been busy being stable and trying to find a good job. You call and check up on them so much, I've never seen anybody constantly calling and facetiming their family to see small things like your nephew learning how to use a toilet. You're a great family-oriented person Roman." He smiles slightly as tears roll down his face. I wipe them off. "Hey, hey quit that." He looks up and I smile at him kissing his cheek. "You'll be okay."
