When I entered the all too familiar street, a bunch of memories flooded my mind, a few good but mostly bad ones, and I couldn't help but let my emotions get the best of me. I pursed my lips and squeezed my eyes shut when I halted in front of Chung's house, which was three houses next to my old home. My reflexes made me slide into the seat to prevent anyone from seeing me.
I hit myself when I realized in what precarious situation I got myself into. The thought of finally doing something on my own, blinded my non existing superiority and when my best friend invited me to her house, I totally blocked out that it was in the same street I once lived in.

The hair dye would probably not be enough to hide my identity.

"Okay.."
I inhaled deeply, using my hands to emphasize my breathing while I tried to calm myself.
"Just act like you don't know this street and spend a nice day with your friend!"
I nodded to myself and finally convinced myself to step out of the car. When my foot made contact with the ground, I instantly froze since the coldness was almost unbearable and I was dressed way too lightly.

The doors of the white sporty car closed shut with a loud noice and I quickly sprinted to the huge door step. I rung the bell a few too many times and impatiently waited for Chung to open the door and to my surprise, the door opened right in that moment, revealing Chung in her lazy day clothes, messy loose bun and barefaced.

"My favorite potato!!"
Both our faces lit up and Chung welcomed me with a tight hug.
"Let's get inside quickly." I pressured and I stumbled inside while kicking the door shot on which I earned a confused look from Chung.
"You know.. because of—"
Her mouth formed to an O before guilt rushed over her features.
"Oh my god Gigi I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you to come here. I just thought if we would hang out here, we would have more freedom and it could be like in the past." Chung reasoned but I waved her off.
"It's fine, really. I'm happy myself to be here and not home."

"Alright let's go upstairs." She grabbed my hand and led me to her room, as if I wasn't here a hundred times before and practically knew the house inside out.

"Where are your parents?" I asked while looking around.
"Don't worry they're on a vacation to Jeju. They won't be back until next week." Chung assured.
I made myself comfortable on the huge bed while Chung scrolled through Netflix to search for a decent movie.
"Soo~ anything new in the mafia world?" She wiggled her eyebrows while still keeping her eyes on the TV.
"Not really." I shrugged.

That's when Chung swayed her head in my direction, giving me look of suspicion.
"What happened in the mall? What about Jimin and you? Do you have Jin's phone number?"
I snorted and started fiddling with my wine-red colored fingernails.
"Jimin and I are a couple." I stated and could literally see Chung's eyes pop out of their sockets although I wasn't even looking at her.
"Seriously?!" She screeched.
"Yup." Nodding to myself, I smiled cheekily but Chung looked less pleased when I focused on her.
"What?" I asked.
She shook her head and forced a small smile that didn't quite reach her eyes.

"No I'm happy for you. It's just~ he's a mafia leader and I'm worried about you."

"Don't be. I feel more than safe with him."
My attempt to give Chung reassurance didn't quite work but I shrugged it off and tried to change the topic.
"Oh and in the mall this dude tried to kidnap me but Jimin arrived in time and gave him a good spank." I chuckled to myself and recalled the incident.
"What "dude"? Another mafia?" Chung asked.
"Yeah, I think his name was something like Chan~" I tried remembering his name and replayed the incident in my head.
"-Yeah Chanyeol! Anyway, he's from Exo. Actually quite the snack but well Jimin was quite intimidating when he—" I stopped talking when I noticed the look on Chung's face. Her wide eyes were burning into mine and her lips pursed. It was a mixture of anxiety and.. fear(?)
