Emmaline a.k.a. Skylar Watson's POV

The Principal is so weird. I wish i could get out of this school. Guess what Mr Godfrey said to me? He told me about his embarrassing moments. He said, "That day, i accidentally used one of my used underwear the next day. Hahahaha. See? Emma, you don't have to be ordinary. Be like me. Be who you are."

I told you so. Mr Godfrey showed me a tour around school talking about all the stories of Red Fox High School and when i finally got to homeroom, i was kind of glad.

"Class, this is Emmaline Maxwell. She's new and will be joining our class. Please be kind to her," the teacher, named Mrs Alba said. Yeah, like that would happen. I smiled. There was this girl sitting at the back who smiled back. Looks like i made a friend?

"Ermm...hello...everyone....you can call me Emma for short..." I stuttered. All eyes stared at me. Then, Nikki came in. With all her friends. Oh God. "Oh, hey Emmaline or oops, is it Emma?" Nikki said sarcastically. All her friends laughed. Mrs Alba glared at her and told her and her friends to take a seat. That's when i spotted Austin. He gave me a slight smile.

Mrs Alba assigned to sit beside Abigail, the girl who smiled at me earlier. Abigail looked at me often while Mrs Alba started talking. She was talking about a bake sale.

"Urmm...Hi," Abigail said. I looked at her calmly. Abigail actually looked pretty. Her hair was wavy and her skin was tanned. She look gorgeous and kind. I smiled at her. I didn't want her to feel like i am  obnoxious. "Hi, so...you're Abigail?" I asked. It was a stupid question

but that's the best one i got.

"Yup, but don't call me that. Call me Abby. Want to sit with me at lunch?" She said. Great! At least i know i won't be alone at lunch. That's great.

"Sure.And call me Emma." I said. She smiled then faced the front.

"Ms Maxwell and Ms Gomez, is there something you want to say?" Mrs Alba asked, looking at the two of us as the two of us were talking. I waited for the laughter and the mean comments from Nikki and her friends. But all of them remained silent even though they knew what was happening.

At lunch, i sat with Abby. She knows a lot of people. She said hello to almost everyone she saw at the hallway. Her friends are also so welcoming and kind.

"Emma, this is Hope, Katty and Gemma. Girls, meet Emmaline. Also known as, Emma," Abby said. All her friends clapped and smiled.

"Hi,"I said. They said hello back and we started talking about gossip. "Emma, do you like anyone?" Katty asked me. I shook my head.

"I just got here. Anyways, any suggestions?" I asked. Katty smiled and said, "I like this girl!" Then, she started her stories. I told her about me bumping into Austin today. She gasped.

"Wait....... as in, Austin Parkerson? You bumped into him? Like how? Did Nikki see?" Katty asked.

"Well, Katty, some gossip. Emma bumped into him. Austin helped her get up and Nikki started shouting. Emma shouted back at her." Gemma said. Katty gasped.

"Its like spreading around school." Hope explained.

"Woah! You're like the best new girl ever! No one dares to do that to Nikki, except maybe us of course. But you gotta be careful. Nikki might plan revenge on you." Katty said.

"Yeah, be careful. That day, Joey got into trouble with her after spreading rumours about Nikki being a liar and cheating off a test. The teachers got involved and Nikki planned revenge. Nikki spread rumours about her and blackmailed her. Now, Joey's not in this school anymore." Abby explained. Woah. Nikki's a tough girl.

As we talked about our schedule, i thought about Austin. What was his relationship with Nikki?

"Ermm...guys, do you know what's the relationship between Nikki and Austin?" I asked.

"You don't know?!" Gemma shouted.

"They're a couple. Boyfriend-Girlfriend." Hope explained.

"What!" I said loudly.
