CHAPTER-4 STRANGE SORTING

We went out into the garden and opened the store room an to the right corner we found a scarlet box.I wasn't allowed to youch it until I was 18 but I needed answers!So I carried it to my room with many near misses.

Aiden opened the num-lock on it and yes Aiden is a great hacker and can accurately guess passwords.We found a dairy, a chain and an album. The diary did not open like a normal one.

"Try magic."Aiden suggested

"Ok I will."I replied

I didn't have a clue on what to do so I just flicked my wand and nothing happened.

"Try the locket."Aiden said

"Aiden your a genius,"

"What?"he asked puzzled

"The locket is in the shape of a heart that is the answer to the riddle which means that the diary is the answer to our question.Professor knew that we would be doubtful about the transportation thats why he gave us the riddle to solve to lead us to this....And you figured out the lock ,look." I said showing him the lock to the diary which was a heart of the same size of the locket and i placed the locket it opened!

In the first page it was written 'Property of Jade Bridges if found please return."Tear emerged from my eyes as i had read that. How could I return it to her?

"You okay?"asked Aiden as he saw a tear drop fall on the page

"Yeah,I'm fine."I lied.I controlled myself and turned to the next page, maybe I would find my answers.

July 24th 1991

Dear Diary,

I am going to school tomorrow.I am so excited I can explode right now.Dad said that there going to be a magical ride coming to pick me up. To be honest I'm nervous and happy. What ever is out there I'm going to face it with all I have.

The ride is going to arrive at my window so that is going to be convinient. I am worried about my insecurities. What if no one likes me.Anyway good night it's already past bedtime, if i don't go to bed now I'm toast and I need energy for tomorrow it's going to be a long journey.

My fingers still lingered on Love,Jade after reading the whole page.

"So, you read a page of Jade's diary didn't you."said a strong female voice but the tone wasn't threatening

"I'm soory,I didn't mean to..."I started

"You wanted answers."Aiden's mom said

"Yeah"I replied

"Well i think you've got enough information until now."she said peeping into the dairy

"Yeah,I have"I said

"Good then I'll have the dairy and the album"She said

"What about the chain?"Aiden injected

"That I believe has chosen to stay with it's owner."she said pointing at my neck.

It was a gold chain with a ruby pendant.For a moment I felt I was with my mom.We handed over the album and diary."Here,keep this."she said handing me a photo of me,my mom and my dad.Then she left.

"We better have some sleep,it's already 2 AM."Aiden warned

"Yeah,you're right."I replied yawning

Next morning we were ready and were waiting for our ride to school.It was 10:00 but no sign of the ride.10:05 atill no sign 10:10 no one came.We went back to our room in anger.I turned to my window and spotted 10 black dots growing,after reading my expression Aiden looked out of the window and said"Do you see what I see?" I nodded in agreement.The black dots weren't just any dots,they were dragons!!!10 dragons were coming towards my aunt's house!!!It seemed as if though no one could see the dragons.Like what the freak!People they are huge dragons not small birds!!Are you even of what dragons can do?!?
