You weren't perfect, you had told Roman so when he'd asked you out on a date and he said he didn't care but that didn't stop you from wondering why he wanted to be with you. He was surrounded by perfect women every day and he could have any woman he wanted and yet he wanted you. You didn't particularly like your body, it was a map of scars, stretch marks and cellulite but yet somehow you had managed to catch the eye of one of the best looking men you had ever set your eyes on and you didn't feel worthy of him
''Why me?'' you asked one night as the two of you settled down for the night
''Why not you?'' He replied
''You could have anyone though'' you argued
''But i don't wan't anyone else'' Roman answered ''I want you''
Roman knew how you felt about yourself, he'd often caught you looking at yourself in the mirror, running your fingers over the parts of yourself you hated the most and he was always quick to compliment you but his words were futile. He could compliment you endlessly and it wouldn't make a difference because ultimately, the problem stemmed from you. You were disgusted with yourself, therefore nobody else's opinion mattered. You couldn't help but wonder if Roman was secretly repulsed by the sight of your flaws; you certainly were.
''You could do so much better''
It broke Roman's heart to hear you speak about yourself like that but in your mind it was true
''Don't talk about yourself like that'' Roman pleaded ''I fell in love with more than just your body''
He understood how you felt to some extent. After he had hernia surgery he hated showing his stomach. He kept in covered as much as he could
''You know how you tell me that i shouldn't be ashamed on my stomach and that you still find me hot?'' He asked
''Yeah'' you replied
''Well it's the same with you'' he explained ''I don't think you should be ashamed of your flaws because i still think you're beautiful. I don't even see them''
"I don't see your scars either" you replied
"That's because beauty is more than skin deep" Roman explained "Love is more than skin deep, when you love someone you love all of them, every part of them"
"You're right" you replied "and i'm so thankful to have that from you"
"I love all of you and if I have to keep telling you that to make you believe it, then so be it"
You smiled at him, kissing him softly "I love all of you too"
