You had been friends with Roman since you were a kids, but it had been hard to keep in touch with him since his WWE career took off. You hadn't seen him in two years and the last time you had spoken to him, he had told you that he had got divorced. You had recently broken up with your boyfriend so you could relate to what he was going through to some extent. You were both keen to take your mind off your troubles for a while, so you reached out to him about meeting up and he agreed, inviting you backstage at Raw show. After meeting up and hanging out backstage, it was like you had never been apart you got on well with some of his work colleagues, especially Dean and Seth who were like brothers to Roman. So he invited you backstage again and you were excited to catch up with everyone. As you made your way into the backstage area you searched for the door with Roman's name on it. Once you finally found the right door you knocked a couple of times. Roman's face lit up as he opened the door and saw you standing in front of him
"Hey baby girl" He pulled you in to a hug "Come in"
You made your way inside and took a seat on one of the benches "I missed you Ro"
Before he could respond there was a knock at the door
"Is (Y/N) here yet?''
You instantly recognized the husky voice of Dean Ambrose and you smiled to yourself. Roman had obviously told them you were coming
''Hey! i heard you'd be here today" Dean said as he made his way into the room, closely followed by Seth
Roman stood and watched the three of you interact with a smile. He was pleased with how well you all got along because he had loved you for years but he had never said anything. After a few more minutes he stood up and walked over to you, placing his hand on your back
"Can i talk to you for moment, in private?''
''Yeah of course" you replied
"We'll leave you guys too it then" Dean said as he left the room with Seth
You both made your way back to the bench and sat down "What's up?"
"Can i tell you something?" He asked nervously
"You can tell me anything Ro, you know that" you replied
"Okay, i'm not really sure how to say this." he said as he looked at the floor
You had never seen Roman this nervous before and you started to get a little worried about what he was going to say
"Roman you're frightening me, what is it?"
He grabbed hold of your hand and took a deep breath "I like you (Y/N) a lot! I've liked you for years but i never told you. Then years went by and you started dating Mitch (your ex) so i tried to move on...I even got married but i wasn't happy...and she noticed"
"Roman stop for a second!" you said, interrupting him. You threaded your fingers through his "I've liked you for ages too" Relief was evident on Roman's face "I was afraid to tell you in case it ruined our friendship."
"Well...we'll never know unless we try" Roman said
"You're right" you agreed
Roman wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you close to him. He connected his lips with yours and kissed you with all the passion he had been holding back for years. His hands began to wander and he grabbed hold of your ass, squeezing it
