Chapter 8:Art Exhibition(II)

"Uhm," Ava bit her lips.

"Easy there damsel.So lady Mary is just a friend but her father keeps asking me to court her.You like secrets?" He asked pulling her closer again.

"Yes," She replied looking around to see other vampires staring at them"People are staring!"

"Let's say I'm pretending to court her. I don't like her and I'm not the type to care about what people think"

Ava was very happy about the fact that Vador wasn't ashamed to hold her so closely in public, he had also told her he would never do anything to hurt her. That was the sweetest thing ever.

On entering the gallery, Ava saw a sketched drawing of a dog,a vampire dog maybe,It looked delivish with horns. Taking a closer look at it,the dog blinked at her.

"Seen anything you like?" Vador asked with his hands behind him.

"More of something that I don't like,"Ava murmured"That dog just blinked at me,she pointed to the drawing.

"Such a baby," Vador laughed.

The next thing made Ava scream causing every vampire in the gallery to look at her. Someone had tapped her ,on turning back to reply the person she saw that the hands from a painting of a drawing had tapped her. She screamed.

"Ava," Vador called out slightly offended.

"My lord," A man in faded clothings greeted"Is she with you" He asked looking at Ava strangely.

"Yes.Any problem?"

"She's acting quite abnormal for a pure blooded vampire," the man replied"Her skin is so pale yet she looks so ugly even for a human vampire."

"Did you just call me ugly," Ava asked interrupting their conversation.

"I guess you do know how do speak then," The man said eying her. "This is an art gallery ,we do not allow screaming and noise,you would know that if you've been to one before. You're obviously not pretty so you should at least make up for it by not being stupid.

"Did you just call me ugly and stupid?! You're really the worst," Ava spat.

"That is enough!." Vador said looking around "There isn't anyone as pretty as Ava here."
The vampire lord dragged Ava and walked away without uttering another word.

"My lord," Mykel ran after him"I'm I'm soo ry," He stammered seeing that he had offended the lord.

"You can go,"Vador raised his hand.

"Who was that? He's like an old grumpy man. Really rude too!"

"The owner"

"I'm sorry if i caused you any trouble," She replied looking down. "So much for our first date."

"Don't worry about it damsel,we'll have tons of other dates and you won't be the one receiving a surprise visit tomorrow," he smiled wickedly.

"So much for loving art exhibitions," Ava replied yawning as they entered into the carriage.

When they arrived at the royal house, Ava went straight to her room,feeling exhausted she slept without having dinner.

The next day Ava was on her way to the garden when she heard Vandora telling Taly about how Mykel's body was found outside the gallery with his head cut off.
Mykel was the owner of the galley and the vampire who called Ava ugly.
