Faith stirred awake and noticed Dean was gone. She sat up and looked around for her clothes. Some had made thier way into the front seat so she climbed over and reached for her bra on the floorboard. Her bare ass stuck to the leather as she tried to find her panties. No luck.
"Oh, well." She said to herself.
She slipped her jeans on and just went commando. It wouldn't be the first time.
She pulled her shirt and jacket on before her worn combat boots.
Then she ran her hands through her hair a few times until it looked presentable.
She climbed back out of the car and noticed Dean a couple yards away talking on the phone.
Faith grinned cockily remembering the way his hands had felt on her last night.
Dean turned her way and saw her leaning sexily against his car. He quickly ended his phone call and strode over to her.
"Morning, Dean." She said nonchalantly but with a cocky smile on her face.
He returned the smile and closed the space between them with a quick kiss.
"Hey, you."
"Someone's feeling better this morning." She said sassily.
He shrugged. "Still have a game plan, but I guess, yeah."
She nodded.
"Who was that on the phone? Bobby come to his senses?"
He shook his head no. "Uh, just an old friend."
She nodded but jealousy reared it's ugly head at her. She tried to push it down, but all she saw was Lisa's name in neons flashing in her mind. Then she remember little Ben. The boy who was probably Dean's son. That's when it hit her like a train at full tilt. How would she forgive herself if she took that opportunity from that boy? Kept his father from him? True or not, they all deserved a chance at a happy family.
"Dean, you should get going."
"I know." He smiled sadly at her. "Come on."
He turned to get in the car.
"I'm not going, Dean."
He turned back to her, eyes wide in shock.
"What?"
She looked at the ground and back up to him.
"I don't think I can see Sam as Lucifer's ass puppet. It's too much. I don't want to remember him like that."
Dean just stared at her.
"I really want to be there for him, I do. But, your his brother. Who am I to think I could really make a difference?" She continued.
"He loves you, Faith! Where the hell is this coming from?" Dean asked angrily.
"I know. But, this is your job, Dean. You can get through to him. This will work."
Faith walked to him and put her hands on either side of his face, staring lovingly into his baby blues.
He opened his mouth to speak, but she stopped him with the sweetest kiss she had ever given him a stark contrast to the way she had kissed him senseless last night.
"And when it's all over, you should go to Lisa and Ben." She said sadly.
His already broken heart just about shattered into a million more pieces.
"What? You're just running away again?" He shouted stepping back out of her grip.
She shook her head. "No. Never. But, I couldn't live with myself if I kept a little boy from his possible father because I was selfish and wanted him all to myself."
"Faith, I don't even know for sure..." He said incredulously.
"But there's a chance. So, go to them. Be happy." A single tear escaped from her eye and slid slowly down her cheek.
"I..." Dean stuttered.
She closed the space between them and pressed her lips against his. He wrapped his arms around her, one fisted in her hair and deepened the kiss.
"I can't leave you again." He whispered huskily into her ear.
"I know, but believe me. This is easier than the argument we would have had later after you used that blood trapping sigil to keep me in the car."
He leaned back and stared at her with a shameful smile on his face. "How did you know?"
"Because, I know you, stupid. And I saw your note on the dashboard when I was getting dressed."
He looked over at the car and saw his messy scrawl right there on the white paper behind the windshield. The note said 'blood trap sigil?'
"Right." He said and turned back to her placing a hand on her cheek.
"I'm not mad. I get it. You didn't want to lose me too. But, don't worry. I'll be around."
She kissed him one last time before grabbing her bag from the front seat.
"Faith, I..." Dean started.
"Don't worry. We're five by five, handsome." She winked at him coyly before heading down the road.

Hours later, Faith sat at a diner booth in Lawrence, Kansas drinking a steaming mug of coffee. The fading afternoon sun streaming through the window. She glanced around at the few other patrons when she noticed a familiar face staring back at her. Castiel.
He stood next to the men's restroom door and made his way over to her. He slid casually into the booth across from her and placed his hands on the table.
"What's up, Big C?" She smiled at him.
"Dean told me you left."
Faith only nodded in response and drank her coffee.
"Sam broke free and put Lucifer back in the cage. I thought you'd like to know." He said.
She sighed. "So no apocalypse. That's good news. Big win for Team Free Will, right."
"Yes." He glanced at her mug as she rested it back on the table. "Why did you leave?"
"Because it was the right thing to do."
"I think I am starting to understand the self destructive habits of humans."
She grinned at him.
They sat in silence as she finished her coffee. She was glad for the company. She knew she would miss them all.
"I need to go. But, I am always around if you need me." Castiel spoke clearly.
"What if I just need a friend?" She asked sarcastically.
He smiled at her. "You can always call Bobby. He needs a friend, too."
With that he was gone.

A few days later, Dean was cleaning out his car in Lisa's garage. He didn't need Lisa or Ben to find something questionable. He was back in thier good graces and Lisa had welcomed him in with open arms.
He told her about Sam and how shit had hit the fan and she had held him while he cried. It was much different than Faith's reaction just days ago. He didn't know what he needed more now. But, Faith had been right. Even he wouldn't have been able to forgive himself if he hadn't given Lisa and Ben another chance.
This was what Sam had wanted for him. He had to admit, the home cooked meals and constant familial solitude were much needed. A nice change.
But, he still missed Faith.
He saw a pink piece of fabric poking out from between the cushions in the back seat. He folded the seat up and reached for it. The soft satiny fabric seemed to glide across his fingers as he pulled it out. It was Faith's pink panties from that night in the car.
He smiled and sat down on the seat, holding them tightly in his hand, remembering the smell of her hair and the softness of her skin.
He breathily laughed and said to himself, "Oh... Faith."
