Chapter 6: Valentine's Day

It was Valentine's day Bucky tried calling Dot all day cause he had class so he couldn't fly up to NY to see her like he wanted. But Dot wasn't answering her phone he came into the girls dorm room on her voicemail saying "Hey Dot it's me I was just calling for like 100th time to say Happy Valentine's day and happy anniversary um I guess you are busy with class or something. I love you." and he hung up. 

He threw his phone against Nat's door and Chloe said "Buck that's not going to make her answer the phone." 

He picked up his phone and said "I'm going to home.." 

"Bucky.." Chloe said 

She ran after him and she said "Hey what's wrong." 

"Today is our anniversary I asked her to the sweetheart dance and then asked her the night of it to be my girl. How could she forget." he said 

She started to drag him  down to her room and he said "No Chloe I want to go home." 

"Buck.." she said 

"I just want to be alone.." he said 

She wiped a stray tear and went into her room and slammed the door. Making him shudder as he walked away. "Damn it" he whispered as he left her floor. 

She cried herself to sleep she hated that he was now pushing her away. Nat came to check on her and she couldn't even get in her room cause it was locked. Nat went back to her room and said "Steve get Bucky on the phone." 

"Why? What's wrong?'" Steve said

"Cause she's hurt she's locked her door and she's crying." Nat said 

"Bucky Nat wants to talk to you." Steve said once he picked up

"What the hell are you doing Bucky making Chloe cry she's alone and she's about to be all alone cause we all have dinner plans tonight did you not think about that when you decided to push her away." Nat said 

"I just want to be alone Nat." he said as he hung up. 

Bucky worked out with his dad and then stayed at home. He tried calling Chloe to apologize but she ignored his phone calls. She woke up around 11 and sat in her jacuzzi tub and cried when she heard knocking on her door. 

"Go away' she said 

"Chloe open the door." Bucky said 

She grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her and she answered the door and he said "Chloe.. why are you ignoring me" as he walked in. She walked away and went back got back in her tub and added more hot water. Bucky walked into her bedroom and saw mascara smears on her pillow and he stripped down and she said "Bucky.." 

"What you are naked." he said as he covered his junk and sat in between her legs. 

"Nice boobs by the way." he said 

"Stop." she said 

He looked back up at her and he said "I'm sorry that I upset you today." 

"It's my first Valentine's day single for the first time in a long time." she said 

He cringed and said "Ouch baby that makes me feel worse." 

She smiled and said "But you win today.." 

"Switch me spots." he said

They switched as he closed his eyes and she sat in between his legs and he leaned down and kissed her for the first time in a few months. "Ellie" he whispered as he kissed down her jawline down to her neck "James.." She whispered. 

He moved down to her collarbone and he started suck and she whispered "James .. oh god mmm" 

"Mmm my Ellie" he whispered as he came up to her lips. 

"Baby I can't be yours you know that." she said 

"Shhh tonight you are." he said as he kissed her lips again as he pulled her on top of him as they started to make out. "Bucky we can't do this." she whispered 

"Mmm baby stop telling me no and just please let me kiss you." he whispered

"No not like this where temptation is tempting us both." she whispered 

She got off of him and he said "oh god I'm sorry I .." 

"It's fine Bucky I just don't want us to do this and us regret it cause we let it get to far." she said 

She grabbed her towel and wrapped herself and gave him a towel. She went into her bedroom and got dressed. " Hey Buck your phone is ringing." she said

He came into her room in his boxers and he said " Hello" 

"Hey Buck I'm sorry I got really busy and lost track of time. Happy Anniversary." she said

Chloe just shook her head and checked her phone time and rolled her eyes as she realized it was almost 1 in the morning. Bucky seen what time it was and said "Dot it's already over." 

"Buck I'm sorry.." she said 

"What'ever I"m going to bed." he said as he hung up. 

Chloe looked at him and he said "What?'

"Nothing it's nothing let's go to bed." she said as she turned off the light. 

They cuddled up and went to sleep. She laid there the next morning and started to twirl her hair as she thought back to the time that her mom was screwing around on her dad with her now stepdad. She was constantly having her watch her little sister and she would be out all night and dad would be upset wondering why his wife wasn't home. Then her eyes went wide and realized why Dot's actions towards Bucky were pissing her off cause she hated her mom for cheating on her dad. 

Bucky woke up and he said "Hey baby.. what's wrong whats with the tears. 

"It's nothing I was just thinking about stuff." she said 

"Stuff you want to talk about?' he said as they sat up.

"Not really not now anyways." she said 

Later that day at cheer practice she pulled Nat aside and said "When's Bucky's birthday?'

"March 10th why?'Nat said

"Do you know if Dot would be coming in for that?' she said

"Probably not but it is his 21st birthday so maybe.." Nat said

"I need your help... maybe the whole group I don't know but Nat I get the feeling that Dot is cheating. She's acting just like my mom did when she did it and last night it was almost 1 in the morning before she even called him back claiming that she lost track of time." Chloe said

"What do you suggest?' she said

"See if you parents can let us rent out the bar again and make it a birthday bash for him." Chloe said

"SOunds good to me." she said 

That night Nat called her parents and she was able to get the bar closed for that night. Then they let the rest of their friends know about the party including Bucky and he said "baby you are throwing me a 21st birthday." 

"yes I am and you better make sure that your girlfriend is there." she said 

"Ok." he said as he hugged her.
