Chapter 10: Bucky's Surgery

It was Friday morning she got Bucky in her car and she got in her driver side and said "Baby I love you everything is going to be fine." 

"But I wish you could go back with me." he said

"I know but you are going to be fine." she said

"God why did you make me watch so much Grey's Anatomy now you have me all scared that I"m not going wake up." he said 

"Baby you are having knee surgery." she said 

"yeah well you never know what if I"m allergic to something." he said 

She rolled her eyes and said "God." 

She drove to the hospital and helped him out and they got checked in at the outpatient surgery center and they were waiting in the pre op room and he continued his what ifs questions. She kissed him and said "baby you are going to be fine and I'll be in the recovery room when you get woke up." 

"Ok.. love you baby' he said 

"Love you too." she said as she kissed him one last time. 

The nurse showed her where she could wait and she curled herself up in a ball in one of the chairs and prayed to god that he would be okay. She wiped tears and waited and waited for what felt like forever. The doctor came out and said "Ms Jones he's out of surgery he did fine he's going to be off of it 6 weeks and then 4 weeks of physical therapy." 

"thank you" she said 

She followed the nurse to the recovery room and she said "He should start to wake up any minute now." 

"Ok thank you." Chloe said 

She pushed some of his hair  back and kissed him and whispered "Wake up sleepy head everything is fine surgery is over." 

"Mmm  baby." he said 

He woke up and he smiled and said "Best way to wake up to those green eyes." 

She smiled and said "See you are okay.. I told you would be okay." 

"Yeah yeah shut up." he said

 "off of it for 6 weeks and 4 weeks of Physical therapy" she said

"Ok..that sounds like a ball full of fun I'm going to miss Thanksgiving and barely make it to Christmas my two favorite holidays." he said 

"I'll make you thanksgiving dinner." she said 

He grabbed her hand and he said "Baby you have been crying I can tell your eyes are red." 

"I just I'm a little emotional this morning that's all." She said 

"Baby.. did you start your period?' he said 

"Yeah.." she said 

About an hour later she signed his discharged papers and they went home. 

Two weeks after his surgery was Thanksgiving she made him Thanksgiving dinner and he ate it in bed with her as they watched movies. He said "thank you baby." 

"You are very welcome baby I wouldn't let you miss your favorite holiday." she said as she kissed him. 

"You still love me right?' he said 

"Of course baby why would I not love you." she said

"Cause I got hurt and had to have surgery and we can't have sex. " he said

"Oh baby don't you worry about that." she said 

"But I do.." he said 

She kissed him and said "baby all I want is you nobody else I said yes to your proposal." 

"I know." he said

A month later was Christmas Eve he was able to get around they were able to go to Christmas dinners since he started physical therapy. James came with him to his physical therapy cause besides Chloe his dad is the only other person that pushes him to go past what he's capable of.
