Chapter 11: We Are Pregnant

It was Valentine's day morning Bucky woke up to an empty bed and he whispered "Ellie." He got up and found her in the bathroom pacing and he said "Baby what's the matter." 

She bit her lip and said "We are pregnant." 

He's mouth dropped open and said "What? But we haven't really been trying you are still taking your birth control." 

"I know I guess um it failed." she said 

He kissed her and said "But we wanted a baby and you said to wait till after Christmas." 

She smiled and said "I know what I said." 

They started kissing and she said " Happy Valentine's day baby." 

"Happy Valentine's day indeed baby doll. I need to tell you something." he said 

"Ok.." she said 

" baby I knew that I was falling out of love with Dot and falling in love with you that's why I came back that night. Um I wanted to break up with her that night I called her several times on my way back but I couldn't do it over the voicemail and then I chickened out in front of you." he said 

She kissed him and said "Buck that's why even though it hurt when AJ ended it that's why I was done. I was falling in love with you and me bringing AJ was my way of trying to not get hurt cause I knew you were bringing her." 

"That's why you were acting weird cause you were acting very weird and very over the top cheerleader." he said 

She looked down and he said "Why didn't you say anything?'

"You made it hard to say anything you were constantly calling her and sleeping next to me every night holding me while you were still loving her." she said

He closed his eyes as he remembered how badly he treated her during that time and he said "baby I'm sorry I just was wrapped up in my own head." 

They kissed and he said "Also I have a surprise for you so get dressed darlin put on your favorite dress and do you hair and make up and then meet me at Nat's room." 

"ok." she said 

She got dressed and then walked down to the girls' dorm room and saw all of her friends all dressed up. "What's going on?' she said 

"Hey pumpkin" she heard from behind her friends 

"Daddy.." She whispered 

Her dad came out from behind them and she said "Daddy!!" as she went running and jumped into his arms "Oh baby girl." he said as he hugged his daughter so tight. 

"Daddy I've missed you so much" as she kissed his cheek.

"I can tell and I have a boy telling me that he wants to marry my little pumpkin." he said 

Bucky smiled and then his parents walked in and she looked around and swallowed hard and said "James Buchanan what are you doing with everyone here?'

"Oh just a little surprise baby come on come with me." he said 

Everyone followed them to the campus chapel and she said "Bucky.." 

"I know why you wanted to wait till after Christmas to try for a baby and I knew you were late last month you clearly weren't paying attention so I um I skyped your dad and talked to my parents and spoke with the minister here and set it all up. You didn't want to be all big and pregnant when you got married even though I know you are going look beautiful but this way you are pregnant but not all big. You look gorgeous baby now I'm going to make you my wife." he said

They went into the chapel and he stood with his friends and her dad walked her down the aisle and they got married. They went back to Nat's room where they had their small reception and he said "I hope you like our first dance song." then he pressed play "Found You "By Kane Brown. 

She smiled and said "Baby you couldn't pick a better song for us." 

Steve smiled and said "God that song is perfect for them." 

"I'm glad you made him come down that night Steve I knew Chloe would be good for him." Nat said 

"Yeah" he said

*2 weeks later.*

They were sitting in the doctor's exam room and the doctor came in and said "It's good to meet you Mr and Mrs Barnes I'm Dr Thomas. So you put that your last period was in December and it's now the first week of March..let's get this exam started." 

"Ok." she said as she laid back on the exam table. 

He started with checking her breasts and then he pushed around on her stomach and then did her papsmear then started the ultrasound started and he put the gel on her stomach and he said "Ok we definitely have us a baby in there you are 10 weeks pregnant due in September here's the heartbeat." as he turned on the sound. 

Bucky looked up at the screen and he could see their baby and he said "Um how long till we know if it's a boy or a girl."

"Not for another 6 weeks." the doctor said

"But everything is ok.. she's a cheerleader and didn't know she was late in January." he said 

"Yup she and the baby are fine." Dr Thomas said. 

"That's good." he said 

He gave them their ultrasounds and then they went back to campus after her appointment and he kissed her stomach as she stood in between his legs as he sat on the bed. "Buck we can tell everyone now" 

"I know come here." he said as he scooted back on the bed as he had the ultrasounds in his hand and he made her sit in between his legs and he lifted her shirt and he fixed his phone to take the picture automatically and he fixed the ultrasound sit right on her stomach as they both held a side and the camera took the picture of them and he said "Perfect." 

She smiled and said "You picked the one I like." 

"Yup" he said as he sent it out in a group text to their friends and family with the message that said "Baby Barnes will be making his/her debut September" 

She kissed him as they both smiled and then they both posted it to their facebook and instagram. In the midst of them making out his phone started to ring and he kept his lips on hers and he said " Hello" 

"Hi Buck." Dot said

"Dot why are you calling me it's been 2 years." he said as he continued to kiss Chloe. 

"I just um wanted to tell you two Congrats on the wedding and baby. I'm glad that you found someone that makes you happy." she said 

"Oh I'm very very happy I don't have a girl controlling my every move." he said 

Dot looked down and said "Well congrats again." and she hung up. 

He hang up the phone and they started to laugh as they fell back onto the bed as they were kissing.
