Yu-Gi-Oh: Joey's love

chapter 8

The next morning Mai and Joey got up really early. It was chilly outside so they put on some warm clothing. They headed to the Christmas tree farm not far form there house. When they arrived at the farm they were picking up a saw when they ran into Yugi, Lisa, and the kids.

"Mai, Joey, we didn't expect you here" Lisa said. "Yeah, we just thought we would get our Christmas tree today" Joey said. "Let's look together." Yugi suggested. "Sounds like fun" Mai said. They agreed to make this there tradition. Where they would meet every year the day after Thanksgiving to find a tree together.

Joey and Mai found a blue spruce tree that was alittle taller than Joey. Yugi and Lisa also got a blue spruce that was alittle taller than Yugi. Joey cut down his and Mai's tree. Joey helped Yugi cut his down since he wasn't very strong. Joey and Yugi dragged the trees with a tarp. Joey helped Yugi and Lisa get their tree on top of Yugi's car.

When Joey and Mai got home they set up the tree on a base that Joey had. "I just remembered, we don't have decorations" Mai said. "I'll go out and get some." Joey said. Mai nodded. Joey left and was gone for 3 hours. He came home with tons of Christmas decorations. "Whoa, is all of this necessary" Mai asked. "Not all of it is for the tree. Some is for the house. Inside and out." Joey said. He set down the bags. "Also, I got us this" Joey said as he reached in one of the bags. It was a ornament that said "first Christmas married" Mai smiled. "Next year we can get baby's first Christmas" Mai said. Joey laughed. They spent the rest of the day decorating the house and tree. Joey put an angel tree topper on the tree. The rest of the house had two socking, one said Joey and the other said Mai, a tiny village, fake snow, and Christmas lights. Outside they set up a Giant frosty the snowman along with Christmas lights decorating the whole house.

Mai loved how everything turned out. She knew she had to get Joey something special for Christmas. She went to Lisa and Yugi's game shop to see what she should get him. "I would get him something duel monster related" Yugi suggested. Mai knew he was right. "Ok, he has red eyes black dragon. What should I try to get him" Mai asked. "Why not two more. Along with the red-eyes Ultimate Dragon." Lisa said. "I never heard of that" Mai said. "Well, technically no one has been able to to sommon it because most people only have one red-eyes black dragon." Lisa said. "Alright, do you have two more red-eyes black dragons?" Mai asked. Yugi nodded. He pulled out two more red-eyes black dragons. "Joey would love this. And here, he needs polymerization" Yugi said. Mai bought the cards and Yugi wrapped them up for her.

Joey was looking for something for Mai as well. He ended up going to the game shop too but luckily Mai had already left. "Oh, hey Joey" Lisa said when he walked into the store. "Hey Lisa. Hey Yuge. I'm trying to find a gift for Mai" Joey said. "Hm, you know she already loves her harpy lady cards." Yugi said. "I know that. But I want to get her a card that, is unique." Joey said. Lisa thought for a minute. "I can see if my dad can make a one of a kind card for her" Lisa said. "I mean he is the creator and he made me the Andsite dragon card." Joey thought for a second. "Is there a ultimate harpy lady pet dragon. You know like 3 harpy pet dragons fused together?" Joey asked. "I don't think so. But I can ask my dad to make one just for Mai. I can even get it in before Christmas" Lisa said. "that would be great" Joey said. Lisa picked up her phone and called her father. "I think she will like it." Yugi said. Joey left after Lisa confirmed that her father could make the card.

A few days later Lisa called Joey saying her father made the card and she would receive it in a few more days. Joey was happy that he could get Mai that special card just for her. Joey decided to get something for the baby too. He still had a few months before it would be born but he wanted to do something special for it. He bought 2 white onesies. He took them home and took pink and blue glitter glue and wrote something on the onesies. He wrote "Yugi" in blue on one. Then he wrote "Jasmine" in pink on the other.
Christmas was coming up fast. Joey was able to get the card on time. Mai and joey had other gifts for each other under there Christmas tree. A week before Christmas they went out caroling. They were gone for hours. After getting home, Mai sang silent night to her belly.
