Crossmare (part 2)

this is a continuation of the last one requested by cleru87

Don't worry about error and horror. there boyfriends saved them.(lust saved horror and ink saved error before nightmare could kill them) i'm also to lazy to tell you who's talking so bold is nightmare and error underline is dream normal is cross italics is ink. additional note, dream can mindlink to other monsters. mindlink will be italics.

Nightmare pov-

i snuck up the stairs and into cross' room. i used my power to make sure he was in a deep sleep, before wrapping him up with a tentacle. i swiftly opened a portal and went through. i was in the castle basement. i tied Cross to a chair and woke him up.

Cross pov-

i groaned as i opened my eyes. where was i? i didn't recognize this place. "where am i?" i asked to no one in particular. 

"doesn't really matter. you're not getting out." said a familiar voice. "why am i here, Nightmare." "because i kidnapped you, mi amor(my love)." "and why did you do that?" "because i love you, mi dulce(my sweet). and i want you to love me." "i will never love you. i love Dream! he'll save me!" "oh sweet, naive, little crossy. my weakling brother won't save you. as far as he's concerned, your at home in bed sleeping." i went to say something but was inturupted. "why don't we start. i will make you love me."

Dream pov-

something felt off. i felt a strange presence when i was leaving. i wanted to hurry back and make sure cross was ok. i had feelings for him, but i don't think he feels the same about me. when i got back i put everything in the kitchen and went upstairs to check on cross. 

he wasn't here! i started to panic. "wait, think logically. he probably just went out for a walk." then i noticed something on the floor. i was Cross' heart locket! he never goes anywhere without it! then i noticed  something even more worrying. a pool of black slime. "Nightmare took him!"

*mindlink start

Cross are you there? only sobbing. he was definitely in trouble. Cross are you ok. no reply. just sounds of cross getting hurt. it hurt me to hear that. 

*mindlink done

I sighed. i grabbed a phone and called ink.(ink will be italics here) "ink?" "yah Dream?" "i need help." "whats wrong?" "nightmare kidnapped cross and i can't get through to him with mindlinking and all i hear is him getting hurt i need your help to go save him!" (ink takes a moment to process what dream said) "i'll be over soon. is it good if i bring error over? he's been staying with me since i saved him from NM. he also might know how to save cross." Yes bring him over to please." 

a few minutes later error and ink arrived at my door. i let them in so we could think of how to help cross.(Error Ink Dream) 

I remember NM wouldn't come out unless it was dark. 
thats because he is more powerful in the dark. it also helps him see better.
so if we could brighten it up that would help? 
yes.
i can help with the light. 
If someone could distract him i might be able to tie him up with my strings.

we snuck into NMs castle. "wait until we find them to use the light" i whispered. they nodded. as we snuck through the halls we heard sobbing. i looked back at ink and error. they just nodded. we walked down the stairs into the basement. i was horrified at what i saw. 

cross was tied up in a chair, covered in wounds. he had a giant crack on his skull. his clothes were in tatters exposing cracked and broken ribs, a large bruise on his left arm, and knife marks everywhere. both his eyes were dripping blood and he couldn't see. Cross!chara had come out and was also very beat up. they both had there half of there soul floating next to them, and both halves were visibly cracked.

"error, take this and find nightmare. when you find him, press the button to weaken him." i handed error a small box with a button. "ink, you grab chara and bring her back to my house. i'll get cross and meet you there. error, when you're done meet us there to."

Cross pov-

i woke up to voices. "i'll get cross and meet you there. error, when you're done meet us there to." "w-whos there?" i shakily asked. "cross? you're awake!" "no, dream no! you need to leave! nightmare will come back!" "its ok cross. i'll protect you." "no! didn't you see what he did to chara when she tried to protect me? wait,  where is she?" "In brought her back to our house to help her. now come on we need to go."

i felt dream pick me up and we warped. dream set me down on the couch and then ran off to get something. when dream came back, she started by wiping the blood off my face. she then wrapped up my ribs and skull. she then handed me a change of clothes. after i changed chara came in, being helped by ink. chara came over and went back to her ghost form. dream pulled cross over to cuddle.

*Time skip 6 years

Dream and Cross ended up getting married. 

error and ink were supposed to get married to but nightmare killed ink and error killed nightmare in vengeance. error adopted paperjam and now they protect the multiverse in inks honor. 

Dream and Cross ended up having three children(not my images):

Lux (age 3)

and Daydream (age 5)
