{What are some of your favorite Christmas traditions?}

"I love Christmas caroling with my friends and family—it's a tradition we started just last year and it is amazing. I also adore watching Christmas movies of course, ooh, and driving around town to look at Christmas lights with some Starbucks peppermint hot cocoa." — Galatianssixfive

"Some of my favorite Christmas traditions, would be stockings, looking at lights, envelopes, and decorating. Why I like these traditions the most, is because these traditions were my childhood." —earlofgreytea

"Baking the cake without baking it😂. I actually want to, but then I get lazy and start eating the chocolate fondue my mother prepares for the frosting, and it's pretty fun to me to try and go unseen and I dig with my finger into the pot. I think my mother would kill me if she found out! Also, my family reunites on Christmas and my relatives from Ireland come to visit us along with their Norwegian friends, so I can use the languages I'm learning! And then at night we all have dinner together and open the presents and play Risiko or some other silly games — our favourite is mimizing the title of a movie so that the others have to guess what movie it is! I'm not sure this last part was clear. Ahah!" —kura_skymning

"My family opens one present each on Christmas eve. It gets us excited for Christmas." —Jaaswag

"I absolutely love making our famous candy cane cookies with my mom. We do it every year with the recipe that we've used through the family, and even though I usually mess up making them, it's still so fun to make them and have fun with my mom. I do a Nutcracker performance every year with my best friends from my dance studio and that is always the best!! I also love when my family and I buy a Christmas tree and decorate it together, because it's like the start of the season. We put on Christmas music, get our comfiest pajamas, make hot chocolate, and decorate the tree with ornaments that all have really special memories." —QuestWing

"Opening a present on Christmas Eve, it's fun because I love ripping open wrapping paper." —rebeccadunlap503

"I love how I came up with these questions and yet I don't know how to answer them myself! Haha. Well, let's see. One of my personal favorites is decorating the Christmas tree directly after Thanksgiving. We turn on some Christmas music and make a lovely drink called a "Shirley-Temple" which is basically a lemon-lime soda mixed with cherry syrup and topped off with maraschino cherries. We then decorate the tree with our many ornaments, which leads to my next favorite tradition—yearly ornaments. Every year since I was a tiny baby, I have gotten a Christmas ornament. My mom chose the ornaments for me when I was a very young girl, but when I was old enough to decide on things, I got to go to the store with my mom and pick out my own and I have ever since. It's so cool to be able to see what I have picked every year as we decorate the tree. I also ADORE our Christmas TV Show night. We bring our beds into the living room and set up the comfiest cove ever before then breaking out our favorite television shows that have a Christmas episode and we binge each and every single one of them all night until the last one is finished. I love that tradition to pieces!!However, the best tradition of all is...the envelopes. Yes, yes, I will explain. Every year for as long as I can remember, my family has done the 12 days of Christmas. Each day my sister and I would take turns opening an envelope and inside that small white parcel, was a slip of paper that informed us of a Christmas activity that we would do that day/night. One night would be driving around to look at lights while drinking hot chocolate, another would be the "shoe elf" where we'd prepare a little snack or gift for our shoe elf and my mom would fill our shoes with little goodies, and one would be listening to a radio show while eating cinnamon bears. Et cetera, et cetera. It has proved amazing fun over the years, making memories with my family that I will forever cherish, and it is so sad to me that my sister and I's homework loads are far too great for us to even do it this year...for the first time in probably a decade. But there's always next year and regardless, it will always remain a tradition very close to my heart."—@GracelynCate
