Back at the Volturi castle, in Cleo's chambers, the Ex-Mistress of Death was laying on her bed, her face looking up at the ceiling. Her pretty pale face had an angry scowl. Why the Volturi forced her to become one of them again? Why did they think that Veronica was an immortal child?
True, because Joan made them believe that.
Cleo groaned angrily. Joan's special ability was made believe people by saying lies and picture those lies in her thoughts so she can make them look true for people to believe in.
Cleo stood up from her bed as she left her chambers, determined to stop Joan from hurting her family.
BACK IN OLYMPUS...
"They're gone," Apollo said while Hephaestus set the slayed newborns on fire. Artemis had already woke up from her transformation. Her eyes turned deep blood red, her skin was no longer olive and her hair was even more darker and shinier. The bite marks on her skin dissapeared. She was holding her throat with her hands as she groaned. Artemis was thirsty for blood.
"Can someone please help the newborn here?!" She said very annoyed. Aphrodite came in with a cup full of blood and handed it to Artemis. Quickly, the Goddess of Hunt chugged on the cup of blood. Apollo sighed as he saw his twin sister desperately drink. He watched his sundial that marked 5:30 AM.
"Gotta go now." He said as he put on his black cloack and left to his sun chariot and flew off. Zeus came in the hall and wide eyed at Artemis.
"Joan did this, right?" He asked worried. Artemis nodded.
"She first attacked me and sucked the life out of me," She said in a grossed-off tone. "But then Apollo changed me right on time."
Zeus sighed in relief. "Thank Apollo Joan didn't killed you."
Veronica, Hitomi and a recovered Jason came in. Zeus wide eyed at Veronica's adult figure.
"Veronica? But how...?" Zeus murmured shocked when Veronica cut him off.
"My growth advanced, I know," She said sighing. "I'll explain later."
"Mom and Dad need to talk to you." Hitomi said softly as Athena and Ares came in holding hands. Zeus raised his eyebrows.
"You two are... mates?" He asked incredulated. Athena and Ares glanced at each other before glancing at their father for a moment.
FLASHBACK
Ares stood there in shock as he looked at his sister in shock. Athena's face was stained in tears. He gaved her a look in denial. Heck no. She wasn't in love with him. If she were, why did they argued all the time.
"Not good enough, sis." Ares growled as he turned to leave, but Athena beated him.
"ARES!" She screamed, but he ignored, until now.
Athena breathed deeply, ready to what was she goinh to say. "Kiss me!" (A/N: Twilight Eclipse refference!)
Ares turned to see her in shock, again. He mentally gasped.
Athena was truly in love with him.
But did he feel the same?
"I'm asking you..." Athena repeated. "To kiss me."
Only one way to find out was if he kissed her. Until both Ares and Athena felt another presence. A cloaked figure was behind Athena. Ares wide eyed in horror as the cloaked figure was going to put its hands on her neck.
