Snow raced after her brother down the gently sloping moorland hill, her parents close behind. The wind felt so good as it blew across her fur, she could see her brothers brown and white tabby pelt.  She caught him and grabbed his scruff in her Jaws then hauled him back to her parents. "Can we go hunt?" He mewed excitedly "not yet" her father replied "we need to make a den". "Here would be good" snow said running up to a thick gorse bush "perfect" her mother purred. Hare was sent off to play by a nearby river and snow was sent to find some moss. She ran along the open moor then into the darkness of the trees. She hated the way the trees blocked out the sky and the leafs and sticks tripped her. She hurridly scraped up some moss and hurried back to the gorse bush. Her mother had made a tunnel and opening in the gorse and now sat inside weaving sticks together with her teeth. Snow dropped the moss inside "where is frost?" Snow asked "he's gone hunting" her mother replied "lay that moss around the den". Snow spread it around evenly then went to grab some more.  When she returned her father was carrying a fat black rabbit in his jaws. "Go get hare" her mother mewed, snow rushed to the river where hare was. He splashing in the water "your a cat not a fish" she teased startling him "look I caught a butterfly" he mewed pointing to a mess of yellow wing. "let's go home now" snow mewed "frost brought home a big rabbit". The two ran to camp with the setting sun casting shadows on their streaming tails. Snow sank her teeth into the rabbit as soon as she reached the gorse bush. Her brother joined in taking famished bites off the rabbits leg. Her parents joined in then they all padded into the den, snow found dew had put in the rest of the moss. Snow curled up in the corner and grunted as hare scrambled over top of her before curling up beside her tail. She heard her parents breathing grow heavy then slipped Into sleep herself. The next morning she woke early, carefully she tiptoed our if the den and went hunting. She raced across the moor and scented the sweet smell of rabbit. She dashed toward it just as a black pelt slammed it's paws into it. "Who are you?" Snow asked. "I'm robin" the Tom said politely "I believe this was your catch" he said pushing the rabbit toward snow. "Let's share" she said "ok" the Tom shrugged, they padded over to a rock and shared their meal. "I better get back" snow mewed "of course" the Tom said "nice eating with you" snow mewed then leaped off the rock and walked away. When she returned home hare was playing with some pebbles "can you play with me" he said as she came over "sure" snow purred. "You be the rabbit and I'll catch you" hare said his tail wagging with excitement. Snow pretended to be sniffing the ground then just as her brother was about to ounce on her she bolted away. Her brother lumbered after her panting. She slowed to match his pace then he leapt on her digging his claws into her back. Snow purred and shook him off "now your the rabbit" she said, hare started to run. Snow pounded after him, he was heading for the river that would give him an advantage. He didn't seem to mind the water like most cats. She quickly grabbed him by the scruff and carried him to the top of a hill. "This is high!" Hare squealed "see that" snow said pointing with her tail "that's a rabbit burrow, want to go in?". Hare jumped up and down "yes!" He mewed in delight. "Follow my tail" she said then squeezed into the hole. She wriggled her way deeper and deeper until she smelled rabbit "I can't see" hare complained "shoosh" snow hissed.  She followed the scent until she felt movement, a rabbit!. She lunged out till she felt soft fur and pulled it forward, the rabbit squealed in fear. She lunged and bit it's neck "what's that!" Hare mewed "I caught a rabbit" snow said. But how would she turn around? Snow started to panick. She would have to wriggle her way up backwards. "Your in the lead now" she told hare "can you find our way up?". "No" hare mewed "use your nose" she said "try to scent the moor". She felt hare walk upwards and followed him uncomfortably. After what seemed like a moon they clambered out. Snow dropped the rabbit and shook out her fur, rain was pouring down on the moor. Snow picked up the rabbit and let her brother clamber on her back then walked home. The rain was pounding down by the time she reached home and she was exhausted. She shook hare off her back and dropped the rabbit inside the den where her parents were sheltering. "Where have you been?" Dew asked "underground!" Hare squeaked. "We went Into the rabbits burrow" snow said "you could have gotten lost!" Dew said. "Sorry" snow muttered, she curled up in her nest while her family gathered around the rabbit she had caught. "Want some?" Frost asked "no thank you" snow tiredly replied "I ate this morning".
