christie's p.o.v

today i was really happy. this very day, i was gonna head to the park and meet andrew there. i blushed, just thinking about it.

it was currently 12:30 PM and i genuinely am so excited. we were going to meet at 2:00.

my outfit was a cute, simply everyday wear. i wore a soft, dark blue tee-shirt with high-waisted, rolled up black jeans. now that i described it, it sounds more of a sad outfit, hahahah.

i wondered if he was ready, so i messaged him if he was and he said, yep. i then asked if he wanted to meet up earlier than expected and to my surprise, he agreed.

i grinned, and walked out of my room to the downstairs area. mom was at work, she was somewhat busier than usual. i hope she wasn't putting herself under too much stress. i walked out of the house and began heading to the park.

i lived somewhat near, but it was still tiring to me.
yes.
i don't work out.
haha.

once i arrived, i sat down at a park bench and admired the view. the trees were swaying against the light wind, kids were playing on the play-sand or on the playground equipment, adults and couples were walking together, hand in hand; a boy with a boy, a straight couple, and a girl with a girl.

i smiled softly, i was a huge supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and in fact, i'm apart of it as well. you'll find out my sexuality soon.

i soon heard light footsteps, getting louder and nearer towards me. i glanced to my right and saw andrew. i stood up and met him halfway.

"hey!" he exclaimed, his eyes shining with happiness. "hi andrew." i greeted back, my voice lacing with pure happiness as well.

"let's walk around."
"sure."

we began walking around, a few minutes into our walk, i felt his hand slightly tug at mine, before his hand intertwined with mine. i looked at him, but he was looking at me with a huge smile.

my heart heated faster.
i could've sworn it skipped a beat too.

my stomach filled with fluttering butterflies, as we began swaying our intertwined hands. "hey chris, wanna get some ice cream?" he asked, breaking the comfortable silence. "sure!" i chirped. and with that, we walked to an ice cream parlor.

it was quite small, and really cute, in a way. the walls were striped; white and yellow. it wasn't busy, but there was a few people.

i let go of his hand and went to check the flavors. i searched for my favorite, which was rainbow sherbet. i found it and started to pull out my wallet.

i felt a hand stopping me from doing so.

"i'll pay, my treat." andrew said with a dorky smile. i was about to say i was going to help pay but he insisted. i sighed and reluctantly agreed.

we took our ice creams and went outside to eat them. i hadn't noticed that time went by super fast. it was now 5:12 and i gasped.

"what's wrong?" he asked.

"i need to be home by now and if my mom's home, she'll be even more disappointed and i-" i was cut off by andrew.

"it's okay, i'll walk you home."

i blushed and with that, we headed towards the direction of my house.
when we arrived, i thanked him for walking me home; safe and sound.

"no problem" was his only reply. i mentally took a deep breath and reached out to him on my top toes, and planted a kiss on his cheek.

i was too scared to see his reaction so as soon as i did that, i ran to my house. running inside and slamming the door, as my heart beated rapidly.
