christie's p.o.v

i was still in shock. the camera hadn't been turned off and it managed to capture a small clip of andrew looking at me with an expression i couldn't read.

my breath hitched. i took a few minutes to finish the video and after that i checked the comments. they read;

"she looks like that girl on instagram"
"mY SHIP IS CHANGING DIRECTIONS"
"andrew don't forget morgan"

i laughed at the second one, the tension on my shoulders lightening slightly.

i went upstairs to get my phone, after i had brought the cup noodles to the trash bin. when i got it, i had three texts from andrew and twenty plus notifications from the group chat.

i opened up andrew's text first.
'hey, did you see the new video?' it said. 'yeah, i didn't really expect it lol', was what i replied with. then i went to spotify, playing one of my favorite playlists. i sat there for a while, listening to the lyrics.

".. i'm in the corner, watching you kiss her... oh oh ohh.."

a tear fell down my cheek, as i remembered a memory from when i ha caught my ex cheating on me.

"-and i'm right over here, why can't you see me? oh oh oh."

more tears streamed down my cheeks like a slow river.

"and i'm giving it my all, but i'm not the girl you're taking home.. oooh.."

"but i keep dancing on my own.." i cracked out. a sad smile placed itself on my face as i continued listening to this song.

i took a peek at the clock, for some reason it was already two thirty. i dried my tears, and walked to my bathroom.

time skip lol

after i got dressed, which wasn't much by the way, just some simple picks from my closet; a light yellow tee-shirt with denim shorts.

i combed through my hair and put on a light shade of lipstick.

ding!

i heard, and went to get my phone again. it was another text from andrew and six more notifications from the group chat.

'are you free right now?' he texted. 'sry, no. i'm going to go school supply shopping :(' i texted back.

now all i had to do was wait for mum.
