I slowly open my eyes and quickly regret it as the sun was bashing through the windows and into my eyes. I moan and quickly cover my face with a pillow.
"Oh good, you're awake." Taron says while walking into the room shirtless and carrying two glasses of orange juice.
"Hi" I say sleepily and slowly moved to sit up straight. He handed me my orange juice before sitting down next to me.
I take a sip and I can feel how my body gets refreshed. After the sip my eye catches him staring at me. "What?" I ask tugging a piece of hair behind my ear.
A smile creeps onto his face and he says, "It's just, I've missed this, you, everything". "Uh, I don't recall us having sex like ever" I reply with a chuckle.
"I know, but you know what I mean. Like, I've missed doing fun stuff with you and how both of us can just be so chilled around one another you know. All the memories we've made as kids and now, I love that we're making new memories." Taron replies and I smile.
"That's true, I really did miss my best friend as well. You have no idea how long I've waited for something like this to happen." I say.
"You?! No, you have no idea how long I've waited! I mean I was crazy about you, ah, in high school, my goodness Lauren. You were literally the love of my life!" He gets all dramatic and I laugh.
"I had a massive crush on you as well, I was just afraid of something going wrong and I didn't want to lose what we had so I kept quiet. Little did I know you felt the same way." I say and take another sip of orange juice.
He puts down his orange juice and turns to me. "We were both pretty stupid back then." He whispers and moves closer with his face. I put my glass down and turn back to face him again.
There it was again, the tension building, yet comfortable silence. He comes closer and closer to my face. His eyes travel from mine to my lips and in one very slow move he closes the space between our faces and bites my lip softly yet firmly.
He releases my lip and moves to my neck. He slowly starts kissing from my chin to my neck and then he stops and start sucking. My head falls back in pleasure.
I feel the chills making their way up and down my body, I guess he sees because he smirks and suck harder. As I sat and enjoyed this moment my eye catches the time on the clock on his wall.
"Taron, I need to go." I slightly push him away. It's so difficult because I want to him to continue so badly but I need to go home and prepare all my paperwork and things for my meeting tomorrow.
"Why?" He looks at me confused. "I need to go home and freshen up and then prepare all my things for that meeting I told you about." I say while chugging the last bit of orange juice and sliding on my shirt.
"Okay, but remember, we will continue this eventually" Taron smirks. I smile and nod my head as I put on my pants.
"I'll see myself out. Bye!" I say as I grab my keys, give Taron a quick peck on the cheek and head out the door.
I open my door and walk in. I slowly closed the door and stood against it for a while.
'What just happened?' I thought to myself as the memories from last night came flooding through my brain like a river.
Something about this felt right, I have no idea what it is or why I feel the way I do. I guess it's just meant to be? The universe has a strange way of bringing people together.
Maybe it was fate that me and Taron reunited after all these years. Maybe finally this can be our time. Maybe now the two of us can finally be happy.
