Chapter 21: Squawk, Hawk
When I reached that idiot of a Branch Head's office I was greeted by KanDick's face as he was sitting on the only couch in the paper filled room. The place had piles upon piles of paper, a good amount of which that was scattered about the floor.
Fuck me...
"Do I really need to go on this mission with this ass hole?" I growled as I pointed the long haired exorcists as I walked closer to Komui's desk then sat on the other end of the couch, opposite of the ass in question.
"Now I know you two got off on the wrong start but you need to learn how to get along with our exorcists-" "I get along with Allen and Lavi just fine!" I exclaimed. "All of our exorcists." He restated.
"Look, I know its been hard of you living here, but you need to understand that now that you are, you're apart of our family." He said.
"I don't need a new family... I just want my old one back but even if I could I can't do that can I?" I snapped at him.
"You try to make it sound bright but you know just as well as I," My voice grew louder as I slammed my hands on his desk, "That I am nothing but a prisoner here!" I had grabbed Komui by his collar and oulled him close.
A cold metallic material touched my neck, "Back away from sister complex." I looked to my side to see KanDick, his mugen at my throat, "Do us all a favor and just kill me, KanDick." I spat. "You two will get along fine..." Komui said.
-later-
I sat in the train cart with my knees pulled up to my chest. I stared out the window and watched as the rain beat down on the Earth. KanDick sat on the other bench across from me by the door. After sme talking in to, I agreed to come along. Not that I really had a choice in the matter in the first place.
The black book for briefing was hanging on my hand as I leaned back in my seat, So annoying... I thought as I glanced at the book. "Why do I have to even be here...?" I growled under my breath. "Urusai." I heard Kanda, "What are you? A hawk!?" This guy, "I said Urusai!" He barked back at me, "Now now KanDick, Dogs bark hawks squak." I teased.
"I wll slice you to pieces." He threatened, "As if you could." I scoffed as I sat correctly and opened the book, reading thefirst page, "In the abandoned city of Crysilis there have ben sightings of a woman in black wondering the barren city. She is described to have long flowing and glowing golden hair and alluring bright blue eyes." This sounds like the average white noble. I thought. "She is said to lure in wondering travlers, children, and couples into the city an at night neighboring villages have heard agonizing screaming. No traces of their presence behind. She was then dubbed the woman in black..." Wow originality is something humans truly lack. I rolled my eyes at the thought.
"Well now... How many Women in Black have I met over the years?" I pondered out loud, "You human's lack so much I can kind of understand why the Earl wold want to eradicate you all."
I heard him growl a bit, "Well why were you fighting that Noah?" He snapped. I flinched at the mention of Tyki and my heart ached but I refused to let him see me hur by his words, "Because our motives for the human race are different from theirs." I stated as calmly as I could, glad I didn't show weakness in my voice.
"They want to kill you all...My family wants humans to let go of their humanity and go mad. Becoming our source of entertainment. To create a world filled with nothing but sin, nothing but madness..." A smirk etched it's way onto my lips, "Human's are weak things...When promised their most greatest desires they would commit any and all sins. Then they become fickle with their decisions and try desprately and patheicaly to fix their mistakes. You human's are nothing more than our entertainment..." I trailed off. "Noah, they are also very similar to us...yet so different."
Tyki's smiling minor face went through my mind and my heart felt like it was breaking.
Eeez and the guys face's went passed my eyes and I wanted to cry. I missed them all so much. A hand subconcously went to the space of fabric over my heart and I clutched it tightly in my palm, as if the terrible aching would end.
"Che, Baka onna... You're just as weak as an human." KanDick spat.
"I am not!" I shot at him. "You are. Che, when that man promised to give that girl medical attention you were willing to endor his torture, although you could've possibly killed him at any moment."
My eyes widened, "You drank so much alcohol and stayed in your room ever since you got there. That girl kept saying it's because you hurt yourself by being in denal and some small boy."
"All you do is act like a normal pathetic human..." I looked at him and I met his eyes. They seemed as if they were glaring at me but he was picking at me for a reaction, "I never said I wasn't human...Just like the Noah family, we're just super human. We aren't immortal, and we have human emotions...Though in different situations we will act different, depending on our memory."
"And by the way KanDick," I stood up and punched him in the jaw, "NEVER. call me weak or pathetic...or you might find that to be the death of you..." I growled as I pulled him by his collar to stand a my level. "I've seen you around the order doing nothing but ridiculing others and acting like you're king of the damn world. Grow some balls dude and act like a man and not a pathetic piece of shit that hides behind his innocence."
