Hope's POV
Landon's wide eyes startle my wolf as I shift back into my skin. He backs up but doesn't run away.
"Landon?"
"You're a werewolf."
"Yeah, there's a lot of us that populate the school. Come with me," I take his hand after re-dressing and lead him back up to the house.
Landon's phone lights up with a text from Rafael. "What do I say?" He asks as I shove the academy doors open.
"Tell him the truth. Some people already suspect that you and I are up to something."
Landon quickly types a reply and shoves his phone back in his sweatshirt pocket.
I flick the lights on, bathing the library in light. Two plush sofas sit comfortably around a wooden center table complete with magazines and coasters. A dormant fireplace lays in wait under the mantle. A glass casing holding a steel grey knife and other rare artifacts is squeezed between two bookshelves.
"What is this place?" Landon's eyes glide over the glass casing.
"The old Salvatore Library." I turn a lamp off that someone had left burning bright. "I also wouldn't touch that. There's an alarm for a reason."
"Point taken." He backs away. I turn the lights off again and we get back to the Old Mill. Everyone is gone by the time we get back. Open beers are strewn all over the floor and it reeks if sweaty teenage bodies. "What did you say you were?"
"Witch, werewolf, and vampire. Hybrid. Or Tribrid."
"Interesting."
"Sometimes. Come on, Alaric will kill us if we're out too late."

"He's gone. The knife too."
"I'm going to find him. And when I do, he's dead."
