I wasn't sure about trusting these three girls. They seemed to just come over unexpectedly. Nea is a little stubborn and aggressive, Claudette is understanding and reasonable, and Feng..
She just sits there listening. I have been also keeping an eye on Dwight, he has been on edge lately and I have been worried about him.
Everytime I try to talk to him, he'd shrug me off with an excuse and walk off. I fear that he isn't wanting me around anymore.. He needs me and I need him. I looked off towards our tent. He was currently in there, I heard a lot of talking.
I looked over towards our tent and slowly walked up to it. "I can't do that to him.." A small whisper was let out from the tent. "You need to let him know, you can't kep him in the dark forever." A female voice was heard inside.
"I can't.. He doesn't need to know about the thing.." I curiously looked at the shadows that reflected off the tent. "He has the right to know." I walked off towards the campfire. Sitting down by it, I stared at the sizzling fire.
'What thing were they talking about?' I sighed letting my thoughts roam free. "Hey.." I felt a pat on my shoulder and it was Nea. I nodded my head at her and continued to look foward.
"So.. What's the plan?" She asked. I looked over in confusion. "Plan?" I asked her back and she nodded. "The plans to beat up David and his gang. Y'know?" She awkwardly smiled.
I shook my head. "Last time I dealt with David was when he sacrified me for his own safety during a trial." I mumbled angrily. She smacked her lips in irritation, patting my shoulder once again. "I understand how you feel. He did it to all of us, once." She rolled her eyes.
We both sat in silence. Watching the fire burn up in front of us. The only thing keeping us warm."Christmas is also coming up.." I heard her speak after a few minutes.
"And how do you know that?" I asked, looking up at her. She pointed over to the forest, little white specks had flowed down. Some of the ground was white, the breeze a little more violent.
"It explains why it is cold all of a sudden." I looked up and watched the snow fall. Nea looked over to the tent Claudette and Dwight came out from. I sighed, leaning back onto the log. I closed my eyes and had let sleep take over.
~>Dwight's Point of View<~
"I don't think we should tell him I am making him this. I want it to be a surprise.." I mumbled looking down at the sweater I was knitting. "How come? You'd make it look more suspicious if you don't tell him." Claudette replied stopping my movements. "You are doing it wrong, don't be so aggressive and quick." She instructed me and took the knits away from me.
I groaned, laying back down onto my 'bed.' "I'm sorry.. I'm just a bit nervous.." I turned to the side to watch Claudette knit the sweater. "Nervous about what?" She asked, lifting up the sweater to look at it. "Just talking to Jake.. I have been pushing him away lately and I think it's hurting him." I mumbled and looked to the side.
"Well.. for starters, you could talk to him now. Seems like he isn't doing much but just sitting around near the campfire." She handed me the completed sweater. I brushed my hand against the sweater to feel the soft and warmth of it. I nodded quietly crawling out of the tent. I waited for Claudette to follow along and she poked her head out.
"You can go on ahead without me, I need to finish up Nea's sweater." She flashed me a smile before going back inside the tent. I shook my head, looking over towards the campe that Nea and Jake sat at. I held the sweater close to my chest, and continued to walk. I looked around and noticed the snow started to fall.
I frowned as I watched the snow fall. Christmas was never the best time of the year for me, I'm usually always neglected more on Christmas Day. Standing up straight, I blinked the tears away and quickly walked to the campfire. Jake and Nea were sitting in silence, watching the fire that lit up our camp. I clenched the sweater tighter, fear was building up inside me.
'Why are you so scared? He is your boyfriend..'
'Maybe you are scared that he might push you away like you did?'
I stopped dead in my tracks. I'm sure I was standing for a good while staring at the floor if Nea came over. She placed a hand on my shoulder and shook me. "Hey nerd, you alright?" She asked me, I nodded my head in response to her question. I looked up to Jake who seemed to be quite relaxed. 'Damn it.. Why can't I hide my emotions like him?..'
I thought to myself and stopped in front of Jake. He had his eyes close, his mouth parted open. A soft snore heard from him. He was asleep.. Looking down at the knitted sweater I made for him -with the help of Claudette of course, I sat next to him. I leaned back against the log and placed the sweater onto his lap.
I looked up to him and planted a kiss on his cheek. Snuggling closer, I also closed my eyes. "Good night Jake, Love you.."
