Harry POV

"Um, can I swim?" She asks.

"What?" I counter back.

"It's beautiful here, can I swim?" She asks again. "There aren't any creepy animals in there right?"

"Yes you can." I tell her. "And no creepy creatures."

"Great!" She smiles as her eyes lighten up.

Feeling hot, she removes her hoodie to reveal a red crop top beneath it. I'm about to shift my gaze back to the river when something catches my eyes.

"Ray?" I frown, taking her hand in mine. "What happened?"

She looks at me with horror on her face as I regarded to the huge cuts on the back of her hand.

"Um.. nothing. I had an accident few days ago, so yeah!" She reasons but I'm not quite convinced with it. I eye her suspiciously.

"It's really fine, Harry."

"But, you need to get it cleaned up." I say. "Get it dressed or it might worsen the wound."

"Yea, I will." She smiles.

"No, you won't. You will forget it." I state the obvious. "Let me take you to the hospital."

Ray's eyes widened with panic, "No! I mean, no it's fine. I'll dress it up myself." She says.

"But,"

"It's fine Harry." She says.

"Let me atleast take you to my house, it's right next door. We can clean it up and get it dressed. Yeah?"

"You are not gonna leave it be, are you?" She asks and I shake my head in a nod. "How do I know that you won't take me to your house and murder me?" She wiggles her eyebrows making me chuckle.

"Oh yes, I totally intend to take you to my home and murder you if you don't get your wound dressed up." I say.

"Fine, let's go." She smiles.

Helping her to get to her feet, I guided Ray towards the house. I think back to the wound that is fresh. It seems like the wound was caused only two days ago, when she arrived to the town.

"So, you'll be neighbor if I move in here, huh?" She asks.

"Ofcourse," I say. "I mean it isn't a bad thing you know. I don't really bite."

"Talking about biting people, what if you are a vampire. I may never know." She shrugs as we walk to my home.

"A vampire?" I frown. "Are you, by any chance a Vampire diaries fan?"

"Hell yeah," she cheers. "I am and I love it."

"Salvatore brothers, huh?" I smirk.

"Yup," she smiles proudly. "So, you watch it too? Elena huh?"

"Nope," I deny as we walk into my driveway.

"Oh, let me guess. Caroline?" She smiles widely.

"Yes," I say as my cheeks flush.

"Uhh, I love her too." She says as she waits at the entrance of my door. "Can you see the house from here?"

"Yes" I say taking out the key. "It's right up here. I can see the rental property from the window of my kitchen."

We made our way up the stairs and onto the front porch, when all at once a ferocious bark pierced through the air and I turned behind to see him charging towards me.

I get down on my knee and welcome the pale, blonde Sheeba dog, "Easy boy!"

"You have a dog?" Ray asked, raising her eyebrows.

"This is Bell. And no, he isn't my dog." I tell her. "He is Jen's fiance's dog. He will pick him up tomorrow. He had asked me to take care of the dog for three days, while he was visiting London for some work."

I opened the front door and stepped inside. "Welcome to my abode." I say as I let Ray in.

"Thank you so much," she smiles.

"Wow!" She exclaims as she looks around my house

"Wow!" She exclaims as she looks around my house. "Your house has..."

"The same interior as that house?" I complete the question. "Yes, I know."

"Now, if you will please take a seat, so that I came dress your wound." I say, pulling the chair of the dining for her.

Bell waited for my permission, before walking to our guest and sniffing her hand. Regarding Ray with his big, brown eyes, he gave her a lick, showing his approval. She ran her fingers over Bell's head and ruffled his ear gently.

"I love dogs," she says in awe.

"I love dogs too," I say.

"Why don't you have one?" She asks.

"I want to, but I don't really get the time to look after the living teddy bear." I say.

Ray let out a soft giggle, and it honestly sounded like a melodious music to my ears. Reluctantly, I had to admit that it wasn't an unpleasant sensation.

I left to retrieve my first aid kit. As I walked back to the kitchen, I studied her from afar. She was beautiful and her hazel eyes shone due to the amount of light entering the place.

She looked around the house as she studied the place. I couldn't help but notice the tinge of sadness covering her eyes as she looked at the wound. She seemed nervous but recovered in a few seconds.

Ray reminded me of Jessica. Jessica had a similar personality and light around her. Jess loved water and through the excitement in Ray's eyes when she saw the river, I could tell she was an Oceanholic too.

I set the supplies on the table and went to the sink to wash my hands. Wiping my hands, I walked back to her. Then kneeling on the floor before her, I reached for the bottle of peroxide and a handful of cotton balls.

"Woah, hold on." She stops me. "Don't use peroxide, just use the water to clean up the wound. Peroxide may damage healthy tissue."

I looked up at her in surprise. "That's pretty knowledgeable statement. Are you a nurse, or do you just get hurt a lot?" I teased.

The mystery in her eyes again flashes, forcing me to think what she has been hiding. But again I go back to wonder if she sees the same in me when I think about Jessica.

I have few hidden secrets too!
