CHAPTER 41

Flashback continues

Harry POV

"She was with them in this," Louis confessed.

"Louis, are you even hearing yourself right now?" Liam questioned.

"Liam," Zayn spoke up. "He isn't lying. I heard them talk about her too.... maybe even speak to her." He whispered the last line to himself, but I heard him.

I looked at him with a frown but he blinked his eyes, clearing my confusion.

They were speaking to her.

"Liam, I think we should confront her directly," I inform him.

"What? Are you crazy Harry? I trust her and I'm not gonna question her regarding such a serious issue." He growled.

"No Liam." I tried convincing him. "I'm not saying that we should blame her and pounce on her directly with questions. All I'm saying is, we need to ask her and hear her out. It is just fair."

He sighed. "Alright, fine."

When we reached home, Jess opened the door and I was confronted with her teary eyes and stressed face.

"Jess -" before I could complete, she was in my arms hugging the life out of me.

"Thank god, you're fine." She said and looked at everyone else. "Thank God all of you are fine."

"But Jess what hap-" before I could continue, I saw Thea coming out and she had no emotions on her face.

"Get in, we need to talk," Niall arrived from behind us and went straight inside. Niall had been to find out more about Owen and Ed's underground business.

We walked inside but I turned around to notice Liam and Thea standing face to face with blank expression. I walked over to Thea and turned her over to face me. "T, we trust you and we don't control you. You can make independent choices but make sure they're going in right direction and I'm sure you did. But, right now we need to be with eachother."

She listened to my every word carefully but looked down when I completed. "Hey, look at me," I tilt her face. "We need to talk seriously, okay?" She nodded her head.

"You'll stay with me always, right?" She asked.

"Ofcourse... or else with who I'm gonna plan stupid pranks?" She chuckled.

"Harry!" Niall called out.

We all walked to him, waiting to know what he had learnt.

"Alright, first things first," Boy, he was serious and stern. I'd never seen him that serious ever in my life. "Our firm has not only dropped in the ranks but also has been raided and taken over Ed and Shaw."

That gave chills through my spine. I was so infuriated and furious that I couldn't think anything with my right mind. "I'm not gonna let him-"

"Harry!" Jess stopped me. "Look, let's hear him out first. Please."

I sighed. "And secondly, the codes of all our documents were leaked by someone from our firm." He completed.

"Who was it?" Liam asked, while Niall closed his eyes. "Niall, Who. Was. It?"

"Thea," he answered.

"What?" Liam looked at her and took few steps towards her. "Is he telling the truth?"

"Y...ye...yes," she looked down as tears formed in her eyes.

"Why would you?" Liam shook her shoulders.
