"Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes, but when you look back, everything is different...?"

PERCY'S POV

The sensible part of my brain was telling me to bow or something, but the ADHD part was thinking: Dang, that was a dramatic entrance.

I shook my head from the distracting thoughts and wondered what Annabeth would do in a situation like this. To be honest, I'm not even sure if this is considered a situation. Lord Chaos's eyes didn't seem to hold any evil glint or mischief in them. In fact, they seemed to glisten in what seemed to be approval. And then comes Annabeth. I wasn't sure if she knew about this- The Big Three's sudden decision to disintegrate us.

Chaos's eyes locked on mine. They were no definite color. I watched as they switched from blue to green to yellow, entranced.

"Perseus Jackson-" he began.

"It's Percy,my Lord." At least I still had some manners.

"Percy Jackson. I want you to think again on my offer. I want you five to join my elite army. You can live a new life there-a life of power, training, and protecting." he said.

"And why should we join you?" Thalia roughly asked. I had to give her credit for her bravery. Despite being a Hunter of Artemis, she had never seen anyone or anything as powerful as him. I could virtually feel the power radiating from Chaos. It was kind of like a star. He burned bright-so bright that it would be hard not to miss him. There were rays of light emitting from his very soul, hard to see, but definitely there.

"In a few thousand years, I have foreseen a great, evil force that will stop at nothing to demolish the gods and this planet. You all are chosen to play a big role in the future. But you can only hope to live if you get stronger," he replied, a grave look overtaking his dark features.

"And why are you here?" Thalia piped up. Jason whirled around to face her, eyes wide. It seemed like he was saying, "Stop being so rude!!!"

She glared right back. Oh Thalia.

"Your camps will not be strong enough to teach you how to truly fight. But my palace is. Come with me. Let me train you. You will return once more, hopefully strong enough to tip the scale to your side," he explained in his smooth, deep voice.

I was conflicted. Part of me wanted to leave these stupid gods to fend for themselves. Another part, the loyal part, wanted to go and train with Chaos. For Annabeth. For Camp.

I looked at Jason, and he seemed to be having similar thoughts as me. Hazel was biting her lip, her eyebrows furrowed. She was probably thinking about Frank. Nico stood expressionless as ever, and Thalia's eyes seemed to darken a shade.

"Fine, we'll come with you." I spoke up, changing Riptide back into its pen form.

I wish I knew what I had just gotten myself into.
