Samantha's POV

"Hey Brielle!Is everything OK?" It is 3pm in the afternoon. Samantha is opening her apartment's door when her phone rang. She entered the apartment and went to the kitchen to drink water. She feels exhausted because of the stress of work in the hospital.

"Hello?Brielle?Are you still there?",she heard sobs. She is panicking right now. "Brielle!Talk!Is dad OK?"

"Samantha,w-we l-lost your f-father!He's gone Sam! H-he's gone!"

"What?Brielle please tell me this is just a bad joke!"

"I hope it is Sam! Mr. Grey was killed last night in his office", Brielle is crying nonstop.

Samantha dropped her phone and the glass in her hand is  shattered on the floor.

"No,this can't be!This can't be!", she felt so weak and hard to breathe.

Her phone rings again and she immediately answered it hoping that her father's secretary is just messing badly with her.

"Hello?", she answered in a hopeful voice.

"Sam I'm so sorry about your father.I already sent your flight details in your email. It is scheduled tomorrow morning. Abby will be at the airport to pick you up for your security.My deepest-",she hung up the phone and cried her heart out.

"Daddy!!!!!!" Why????

Los Angeles International Airport

As soon as she exited the airport, she felt a heavy pain in her heart. This should be the moment where her father comes to fetch her from the airport and they will immediately go to a nearby restaurant first before heading home. But everything changed. He can no longer be here and it hurts so much.

"Samantha!", she heard her bestfriend/cousin's voice. She saw her and went straight on her way. Abby is already crying and hugged her so tight.

"I' m so sorry". I'm so sorry we lost Uncle Martin", she cried so hard and she hugged her cousin with the same tightness.Her tears fell and she keep silent.She let her tears talk for her. She is in so much pain right now.

She noticed the two tall guys watching them."Sam, I came here with Captain Sean Keller and Detective Greg Forbes"

"I'm Detective Forbes.My deepest sympathy for your father's lost, Miss Grey", she took his hand to shake. He is a tall guy in a medium blonde hair and blue eyed. "Thank you" she replied.

"Miss Grey, my condolences.Captain Keller", she also took his hand to shake. He has the same height as Detective Forbes and has the hazel brown eyes. He looks like Jay Ryan of Beauty and the Beast."Thanks", is only her reply.

Once they got in the car, Abby talked."Uncle Ed sent us for your security. He wants to be sure that you are safe especially now that we have no lead yet on Uncle Martin's murder. We have to be careful." Uncle Ed is the Vice President of my father's company. He is also my father's cousin and bestfriend.
