A PROMISE OF THE PAST

The Plan

Michael's POV

   " Edward is dad's cousin and at the same time he is the vice president of Grey Co. Dad trusted him and he planned all of it. Captain and Greg secretly gathered some information about him.  Here are all the files that he handles in the company.", I pushed the files in the table.

   We are in Abby's apartment planning on how to catch Edward by gathering evidence.

   "That asshole acted like he cared about Uncle Martin and Samantha. He even manage to shut Auntie Ramona up for insulting Sam. He played all of us in his hands!", Abby's anger raised.

   She just talked and apologized to Aunt Reb an hour ago and they are in good terms now.

   "So here's the plan", Sean started. "We need to be near him. Act like nobody knows that he is the criminal and we will investigate secretly. We should start in Grey Co. Gather all the other files he handles in the business. I am sure he also have illegal business and two of our trusted team kept on following Edward's bodyguards and they found an abandoned building out of the city.".he said.

   "How do we do that?", Abby asked.

   "I have an idea". Samantha said and she put a folder in the table." Michael, sign these papers",she said pushing the folder in front of me.

   "These papers are dad's personal properties and the Grey Co.'s papers transferred to OUR name. As we both have agreed, we will be partners and we will equally have the rights to our father's wealth and that includes EVERYTHING.Now sign"., she added.

   "And?", I asked while signing every page untill the last one.

   "You and I will continue what dad had started in the company. And for that, we can watch Edward's moves. As in his EVERY move.", she said.

   She has a great idea. But there is one thing I dont want from this.

   "But how about your work in the hospital?", Abby asked her.

   "As I've told you guys, Michael and I will work together in watching Uncle Edward's back BUT separately.",she said and Im confused. I mean, all of us.

   " I am still working in the hospital because he is NOW the Director in Martin Grey General Hospital.", she said. We are shocked at this.

   "But how he became the director?", Greg asked.

   "The hospital had meeting two days ago that there will be a new director and it is him. Dad signed an agreement paper for Uncle Edward to handle the hospital.", she said

   "Hmm something's fishy. He planned everything. Taking over the company I guess?", Greg said.

   "Money and Power. That's what he wants. He envied Mr. Grey's success.". Sean said. He is totally right.

    "That is why Michael and I will watch his back separately. Michael will be the new President of the Grey Co. and I will still work as a surgeon in the hospital.", Sam said.

   "What?!President? Are you out of your mind Samantha Collin Grey? That is a fuckin' big responsibilty!", I raised my voice at her.

   "You have no choice Michael Kurt Grey. You already signed it", she said while waving the papers and  smirked.

   "What the fuck!", I shouted at her.And i saw she flinched and hurt.
  
   "Brother, this is a warning to you. When you are going to take over the company, do not sign without reading and analyzing what is inside it.", she said in a warning tone. "Congratulations Mr. Michael Kurt Grey, you are now the President of Grey Co.", she said smiling but she saw my angry face.

"I trust you with this Michael, dad will be proud of you. Show him that you deserve all of this. You got his brain when it comes to business. He purposely transferred all of his wealth to my name because he knows me very well that I am going to decline it and give it to you instead. He knows that I love you and accept you as my brother. Please do this for him.", she said and tears fell on her cheeks.

   I sighed and I went to hug her." Thanks for the trust princess. I wont disappoint you and dad. We will make him proud.", I said as I wiped her tears.

   "But don't come near him or be alone with him Samantha. He may take that chance to abduct you. I will appoint some of my security to disguise as patients, workers or visitors in the hospital or wherever you go.The same thing with you Michael", Sean said seriously.

   Sean came towards Sam and put a hair clip to the right side of her hair.

   "This is not an ordinary hairclip Samantha.You have to wear it ALL the time. It has a tracking device just in case of emergency.Give me your phone", Sean said.

  Samantha pulled her phone from her back pocket and give it to Sean. He opened the back cover and put another tracking device inside and then he closed it. He typed something in her phone.

   "Another tracking device at the back of your phone. And speed dial this number when you feel that you are in danger. It will automatically connected on the team's phone.", Sean said and give the phone back. Samantha thanked him.

   I saw Abby and Greg smirking looking at the two.

   "Worried much are we Captain?", Greg teased Captain and he received a sharp eye from Sean. He stepped back afraid.

   "So this is it. We need to move ASAP. Justice for Mr. Grey is waiting. ", Sean said and we all agreed.

Samantha's POV

  I am in night shift today and at morning shift tomorrow at 10:00 am.

   Michael started this morning in Grey Co. as the new president.I know he can do this and if dad is here he will be so proud of his son.

   I arrived in the hospital. I parked my car and headed to the entrance.

   "Good evening guys,". I greeted the nurses.

   "Good evening Dr. Grey", they said in unison smiling at me

    I made some friends here. I guess not because I am literally the owner of this hospital but because of my personality. I want people to be comfortable with me.

   But there is this new doctor who loves to piss me off. I wonder how will be her reaction when she will learn that Im  the owner of this hospital where she work. You would think she is a model and a makeup artist because she acts like one. She doesnt even visit and check her patients unless it is a hot guy.

   And speaking of the evil, she came towards me.

   "Ugh, what kind of fashion is that girl,you should wear heels and make up." she said rolling her eyes.

   "Im a surgeon and not a fashion model. I prefer to wear rubber shoes than heels in case of emergencies. Heels and make ups doesnt save life. Thank you", and with that, I walked away from her. She is shocked at my words.

   I am not busy today so I took every opportunity to invesigate and get the copies of the hospital's paper.

   It's already 10:00 in the morning when Im done. I saved everything in a flash drive and found some interesting information.

   I headed out to the parking lot and drove home. I am so tired and exhausted from work and from thinking. I just wanna go home and sleep,I always take shower in the hospital everyday before heading home so I wont sleep with wet hair.

   When I opened the front door, I headed to the living room and was shocked at what I saw.

   My heart hurts...
