A PROMISE OF THE PAST

Last Will and Testament

Samantha' POV

I was woken up by a knock on the door. Someone comes in and open the curtains. I know it is Mama Elena. She used to wake me up by opening the curtains. I took the pillow and covered it to my eyes.

"Good afternoon honey. Time to wake up", she said and I immediately stand up.

"What time is it now Mama Elena?", well I can't see my phone and seems like my alarm clock beside my bed isn't working.

"It's 2:00 in the afternoon Samantha. We didn't disturbed you because we know you are tired and exhausted. Come down and I cooked your favorite lasagna.", she replied. Hearing lasagna made me moved to the bathroom quickly and took a shower. I loved her lasagna. I heard the door closed when she told me she will go in the kitchen.

When I'm done I headed to the kitchen and there I saw Abby, Captain Sean and Detective Greg.

"A late good morning everyone", I greeted them and they chuckle.

"Tired much Sammy?, Abby asked and I nodded.

I sit beside Captain Sean because it is the only empty chair. He acknowledged me by nodding and I smiled at him. We started eating when Abby talked.

" Attorney Lazaro called this morning to remind you about the meeting tonight at 7:00 sharp.", she looked at me.

" Meeting about what?", I asked her and she hesitates to continue but she still did it.

" Uncle Martin's Last will and Testament", She looked at me hesitant to tell further information. "The family talked to Attorney and they want to be there when he will read it. You know, they also want their share if Uncle gave them some. Or should I say big amount", she rolled her eyes.

I frowned and thought how pathetic Dad's family are. They only wanted his money even dad already gave them each company to handle. And mind you, it's not just a company. It's a huge one. Not as big as Dad's company. But it is more than enough to live a wealthy life. Why do they still want more? Dad built the company to help orphanage and those poor people who live in an inappropriate places like under the bridge or justin the roads.

"Come with me Abby and also you Mama Elena"., I told them and their eyes are big as saucers.

"Honey what will I do there? Madam Ramona is there and you know she hates me", Mama Elena is nervous.

"You are coming but not to serve Mama Elena. You and Abby are coming because I know that he gave you some shares. I know because he told me before that someday he will gonna pay you guys back for being an angel to me and to our family". I said.

"Oh no Samantha, I am not coming! You want me to sit there and they will kill me through their sharp eyes?I may not control myself and shot all of them." Abby over reacted again.

   "I'm gonna be there to shot all of them and then Im gonna marry you.And then Im gonna divorce you so I can get the half of your wealth", Greg exclaimed and everyone burst out laughing.Well, except Abby who is now boiling from anger.

   "You son of a bitch! Motherfucker! Come here and Im gonna cut your balls!",she stand up and  tried to catch Greg who is running around the kitchen.

   We are watching in amusement at their behavior. Seems like Sean is immuned in this kind of encounter between this two because he is laughing.

   "Hey, you'll gonna be the luckiest girl if you will be married to the hottest guy in the universe", Greg continued while running around.

   Abby took the kitchen knife and as soon as Greg saw it, he took the chance to run out of he kitchen.

   "Captain please save me!", and then he go outside running for his life.
