Nate was looking at the crank-a-Kai machine as he had some yokai coins and tilted his head curiously at the crank-a-kai, with him were some of his yokai friends.

"Whisper? I'm curious what happens if a yokai uses the crank-a-kai, would they be like you?" the boy asks his yokai butler who became his butler after Nate freed him from a crank-a-kai capsule.

Whisper who was looking at his yokai pad, for the info "Well if a yokai opens a capsule from the crank-a-kai, it says the yokai that comes out, has a choice on what happens to them, whether they join the yokai that freed them or go on their own way".

"Also it depends on the tribe" says the yokai Wattzat hovering close to the yokai Babblong in case he starts to babble about something.

Nate then snaps his fingers and looks at his yokai friends "I say we should draw straws, and whoever the short one uses the crank-a-kai as a test"

Nate then smiles as he holds up some straws "Everyone take one"

Wattzat, Komasan, Roughraff, Manjimutt, Dimmy, Hungergramps, Babblong all pull straws and Babblong got the short one.

"I hate you all...." the talkative yokai pouts knowing they rigged it, Nate then hands him a slippery coin.

"I wish you luck" Whisper says in a joyful tone.

"You're a slippery tribe member too Whisper" Babblong states and grins as he puts the coin in and cranks the machine.

A strange capsule came out but that wasn't all as Babblong started to open it, there was a gust of wind from behind.

"LORD ENMA?!" Yells a startled Nate.

"Wait, don't open that capsule!" Lord Enma yelled in horror/alarm, but it was too late....

Babblong yelps as the capsule he was opening opens, and mist/smoke comes out which was the normal for freeing a yokai from the crank-a-kai, when the smoke/mist clears, Nate and co gasp in surprise.

As standing in front of them, was a babblong but it didn't look like a normal Babblong, he had a tail that looked like a dolphins, he wore a blue jacket with flames and wore black pants and a belt, he had claws and webs between his feet and fingers, he wore a mask with sharp teeth on it, he had a scar on his nose and a bandage next to it.

"Finally free....hey Lord Enma? Miss me? Haven't seen ya in a while..." He looks at the king of the yokai with a bit of annoyance.

Lord Enma looks worried "hello Babbler of the soul destroyers" he says.

Whisper and the other yokai look scared and in horror.

"He's a soul destroyer?!" Yells Roughraff as he takes a step back.

"What's a soul destroyer?" Nate asks as he has never heard of these soul destroyers.

"They're a group of yokai that eat other yokai....some say they're mutant like yokai..." Whimpers Manjimutt hiding behind Nate.

"Some say they were humans forcefully turned into yokai and mutated..." Wattzat whispers into Nate's ear.

"So who freed me? I know enma did when me and the rest of my gang were in jail which was actually a lab...And I don't know much about crank-a-Kai rules are, but I do know I can go on my own or join the one that freed me" Babbler grumbles and crosses his arms.

Nate then points behind Babbler to Babblong, who was behind Babbler "you mean babblong?"

Babbler turns around and sees Babblong holding the capsule still too scared to move.

"Another Babblong? Never seen another one like you? Huh? You look interesting.....I'll guess I'll stay" Babbler Coos with that he pulls Babblong close with his tail.

"Lord Enma did something!, '' Komasan said, worried about Babblong's safety.

The king of the yokai sighs "I can't crank-a-kai rules....I can't force a yokai away from the one that freed him....."

Lord Enma slightly looks worried at Babbler's behaviour, "Doesn't help that Babbler was caught and put in a capsule without me knowing. while I know the rest of his gang is free...might wanna do some looking in on it" he thought to himself.

Babblong just blushes as he is pulled close to Babbler, who wraps an arm along with his tail around Babblong, "make you a deal Lord Enma, I won't touch any yokai that belong to the human that has this guy's metal".

Nate looks worried about what he just said "so you won't eat any of my yokai?"

Babbler nods "yep, so Lord Enma do have a deal?".

Lord Enma sighs "for the safety of all the yokai in the yokai world, I agree to your terms..".

"H-Hey W-Wait a S-Sec! don't I have a say in this?!" Babblong Exclaimes as Babbler had him still pinned against his side.

"I'm sorry Babblong until I can figure out somethings like why he was put in a capsule when he did serve his prison time, he's stuck with you" Lord Enma says.

"I suggested everyone go home" he states loudly and teleports him, Nate and his yokai allies away to their homes.

Babblong sighs as he grabs a bottle of soya sauce, it was common belief that Babblong and their subspecies favorite food is candy, but in reality they don't eat only candy, but they can make and eat healthy food.

Plus he adopted one of Nate's newest yokai Timidevil after a chance encounter, and due to his nature to take care of small young yokai like Timidevil, he adopted the young yokai on the spot and Timidevil has been living with him ever since.

He hums as he makes a stir fry, with some veggies and chicken. He stirs the rice and soy sauce together, when two arms wraps around his waist making him jump.

"I like your humming~" Babbler states resting his head on Babblong's shoulder.

Babblong Blushes as Babbler Nuzzles him as he looks at what he was doing.

"Remember what I said I have a young yokai living with me you can't just do this when you want....." Babblong grumbles at the other yokai as he Finishes making the food.

They then hear the front door open.

Timidevil after he opens the door "Mama!? I'm home"

Timidevil then walks into the living room, and puts his backpack down, when he hears a voice from the kitchen "Oh? he called ya mama~ so you're like his adopted mother~" he never heard that voice before.

Timidevil then hears "Oh shut up.... I don't mind it when he calls me mama" his mama's voice.

Timidevil comes around a corner to the kitchen and sees: another babblong with his mother.

"Um, who are you?" He whimpers, and Babblong explains everything to the young yokai.

"So.... he's going to stay here?" Timidevil says as he eats a spoonful of his stir fry.

"Yes till Lord Enma can figure out what to do" Babblong says as he eats a forkful of his stir fry.

Babbler pulls down his mask/bandana to reveal he has sharp teeth, and he smiles as he eats his stir fry, he never really had food this good "you're a good cook~".

Babblong blushes at that compliment, the only yokai that have complimented his food were Timidevil and his brothers.

"Mama? your blushing" Timidevil points out.

"Oh shush~" Babblong smiles and gently bonks the giggling Timidevil on the head with his fork.

Babbler looks up and smirks at the 'mother' and son eating their food.

"He's actually both kind and loving, I want him to be my mate~" Babbler says in his head.
