This is a Struggle (bakudeku fanfic)

Why?

In a world where most people have some sort of extraordinary powers, called quirks, Izuku Midoryia was born without one. Quirks develop around the age of 4, so while Midoryia was in preschool his best friend, Katsuki Bakugou, developed an extremely powerful quirk. So... basically, he sweats nitroglycerin. Some other kid grew wings, and that was normal. What wasn't normal was possessing no quirk.
Before preschool Izuku and Bakugo, who's nickname was Kacchan, were best friends, going on adventures, learning the world and getting themselves into trouble.
   Both of their dreams, like most other kids, was to be like AllMight, the number 1 hero. The hero who always saved people with a smile on his face, the hero that always wins.
Bakugou was always confident with himself, even before he developed his quirk, while Izuku on the other hand was timid and scared. Izuku was a little crybaby, so Bakugou felt a need to protect him. Bakugou's protection developed into bullying as every other kid, except for Izuku, got their quirks.
As time went on and Izuku kept getting closer and closer to the age of 5, while still staying determined, he knew it might not happen. Then the doctor, of course, informed him that it just wasn't going to happen. He was crushed.
At first Bakugou tried to help his friend fell better, he just didn't know how. As the constant praise got to the child's head and watching the other children bullying Izuku, he started to do it too.
He felt wrong, he didn't want to make his best friend cry, he wanted to help him. No matter how self confident he was he didn't want to be looked down on by the other kids. As he was told that he was better than everyone since his quirk developed.
He was not going to be look down on by a bunch of extras like them, even if it meant his best friend and crush was being hurt.

===TIME SKIP TO MIDDLE SCHOOL===

"K-k-k-Kacchan! That's mine!"
"Too bad, life isn't fair nerd." Bakugou said as he cornered Izuku, making him blush. After all this time and torture, Izuku still liked him and started to hate himself for it. "Why? Why do you have to be so mean?" Izuku said as his hero journal was tossed out the window.
'Why' was the constant thought going through his head. Why did he like Kacchan? Why did Kacchan one day go from his best friend to the cause of his pain? Why would Kacchan only focus on him, was it only because he didn't have a quirk?
"Oi, Deku, don't even try to get into UA, I'm the only one of all these extras that will become a hero." Smirked Bakugou. "Well you're not acting very heroic" he said under his breath.
"WHAT WAS THAT NERD?!"
"It was nothing" kinda like what I am to Kacchan... Izuku thought to himself.
Kacchan might have been right. How was he, a quirkless loser like himself even going to stand a chance in the entrance exam. 'Maybe I should give up like everyone tells me'. Let's face it he was normal, nothing special about him, no quirk, and a hopeless dream.
Izuku was starting to think that he should give up, only a few hours before the chance encounter with AllMight and a brush with death that changed his life. He had gotten a quirk. Not just any useless quirk, his hero's quirk. Now that he had a quirk he finally had a small chance that he could get into UA, the same school that AllMight went to.
This was his dream. But for some reason it still didn't fell right. He felt like he was missing something. He refused to believe that it was his childhood bully. It just couldn't be. Because 'Why him' . It's not like he cared about Izuku the way Izuku cared about him. For all Kacchan would care he could be dead.

=TIME SKIP TO THE ENTRANCE EXAM=

Izuku and Bakugou ended up ruining into each other on the way to their exam. They lived in the same direction from the school, but this was the last thing Izuku needed right now. 'Great.' They both thought. Izuku had to walk with his bully because he didn't know another way to UA. Kacchan had to walk with the guy he liked and the guy he always felt guilty about hurting all these years.
The walk was mostly silent except for a few choice worlds from Bakugou. "I thought I told you not to apply little Deku.. I'm not going easy on you, even if you don't have a quirk"
   They ended up in separate exams so Izuku had that weight off his shoulders. But that wasn't his biggest worry, he's never used the quirk given to him by AllMight. This was going to be interesting.
   After the entrance exam and nervously waiting for the results, Izuku got in. And Bakugou got in of course, with his quirk.
   He was basically blessed with the potential to be a hero. It was his attitude and hostility that hurt his chances of actually becoming a hero. He just had to use the lessons at UA to improve his already powerful quirk.
   Izuku was the exact opposite. He has the determination and heart of a hero, but he didn't have a power until now. This is his first chance to achieve his dream, he just had a long road of training and learning control to go. This is going to be a struggle...
   The constant thought kept going through his head. 'Why Kacchan, why out of every person, why was it him?'
