Hatred.

Love.

Hatred.

Love.

That's what Chris constantly felt towards the school.

It was a beautiful place, really. Grass, trees, small park with awful lot of swings, red bricks on each building.

The classes were horrible. They were always expected to get over 75% in every test, at the very least, and if the grade at the end of the year is under B+, at very bad B-, they have to take another exam in every subject they got a "low" grade.

But this place became a home, and the place where he could hang out with his friends as much as he wanted.

And there she was; his best friend. Leaving the bus.

"Paige!" He screamed as loud as possible, and the tiny girl somehow heard it. She cut her hair again, he noted, it was back in the pink pixie hair cut she loved.

"CHRIS!" she screamed back, dumping her suit case in her younger brother's hands. The two ran to each other, and he picked her up and twirled her around in a hug.

"I missed you babe," he stated.

"Missed ya too, baby," she pouted as he set her down. The two would act like a couple quite a lot, though the idea of dating each other disgusted them.

He loved this place, he really did.

But he also hated how boring it sometimes was.

Chris was used to the fact that girls stared at him, especially the new girls.

He was widely known throughout the school for his charming half- smile, twinkling blue eyes and dark hair that was always perfect looking.

He smiled politely, searching for a particular brown hair. And... found it.

He quietly sneaked behind her, covering her eyes.

"Guess who," he said in his best Darth Veider's imitation. She laughed.

"Chris?" she asked, and he took his hands off. Dan turned around, smiling at her best friend. "Biffle!" she screamed, throwing her hands around her best friend's neck.

"Danny, Danny, Danny, Danny!" he sung, jumping up and down while holding her. She laughed, because she would always laugh with Chris.

That was Chris; funny, good-looking and always around for a his biffle.

"Keep it down!" Sean whined, slamming the locker's door shut.

Sean Johnson stood there, looking pissed off.

"Is it your man period or something?" Dan asked rudely as Chris set her down.

"Danielle," he started sweetly, knowing how much it annoyed her, "do me a favor and stay out of my way this year," and with that, he pushed his blonde hair out of his face, and swaggered away.

"I really fucking hate this guy sometimes."

"Yet you are friends."

"No, no, no." Dan laughed, "we're frenemies. There's a huge difference." Dan pushed away her dark hair away from her face. "We are enemies, but we enjoy it and have inner jokes and stuff."

"Wanna watch Two Broke Girls tonight?" Chris offered, "Paige and Dave will be there."

"Cool, yeah."

"Cool." Chris grinned. "I'm gonna look for Tony and Jane," he made a little dance, "coming?"

"Nah, I gotta clean up my room."

The two stared at each other for a moment.

"So you're coming?"

"Yeah."
