My One Weakness (TodoDeku)

Chapter 1

"How do you feel today, number one Hero Shōto?"

How I feel? No one's ever asked me that. Well, mean it anyways. People are always blinded by my fame and my father's power.

"Ah. I'm fine."
" You just defeated Reptile, the villain that was terrorizing cities for months! You don't feel anything... special?"
I mentally sigh. Do they not get the memo?
" I assure you. I'm feeling fine."
I rushed out from the crowd, and turned a sharp corner towards my house.
I breathed out. Being a Hero isn't easy.

Oh, you don't know? I'm number one Hero, Todoroki Shōto. Hero name, Shōto. I've been in the Hero business for around two years now and I wish I could resign and live as a normal citizen.

But having an abusive ass of a father isn't easy.

Every day I go running till I, quote unquote, Run till I drop. 

Endeavor's my father, and with him being my father, it's an immoderate path to fame and popularity.

I'm paired with a different female every week. Last month was Uravity and just a week ago was Creati. It's annoying.

I don't have any friends, that is, real friends. I have plenty of people that admire me and want to mooch off of my money, such as Monoma, and, what's his name....... ah yes. Mineta. Grape juice.

We all know each other. After all, each of us graduated from UA with a provisional Hero license. There was a few people that might've been nice if I actually knew them, like Ingenium, or Froppy. Sigh, well you can't have everything.

Today has started off as any other day. I got up at five, ran till it was eight in the morning, then ate breakfast, and put on my hero costume and mentally prepare myself for fangirls and the Paparazzi. As I walked out through the polished marble door frame, I noticed that my father was gone. Hmm, strange. He's always here to offer me moral support or whatever.

I shrugged. Doesn't matter. He never really cared about me anyways.

~~~time skip to 1:00~~~

I rose up out of my office seat. Yeas, I have an office. Granted, I don't actually use it for work, but it does add to my "professional hero" persona.

I heard a buzz on my phone. I turned my phone over and picked it up.

Endeavor: Shōto, today I have some important business to attend to. Go home without me.

I snickered. I do that everyday anyways. I sat back down into my chair and leaned backwards. Why did he tell me that? He usually never texts me such meaningless things.

I sat back up. Well, I guess this means I get to do whatever I want. I quickly grabbed my duffel bag with everything packed in it. I didn't actually work, just took a little three hour nap.

I quickly headed out the door and turned left to go to the gym we had. Before reaching the door to the gym, though, I saw a little flicker of light near the right.

That's strange. Only my father has a fire quirk in this agency other than me, and he's not here today.

I smiled. Finally something interesting.

I walked after my father, following at five meters behind him.

He eventually stopped at the Quarantine door( don't ask why we have that) and entered it without looking behind him.

Now I'm intrigued.

Being the good son and wanting him to come out alive, I quickly followed suite.

It was a maze of tunnels, but I know this place like the back of my hand. After all, I'm the one who asked to build this particular room.

I found my father in a narrow corridor facing another man in a black hoodie. That's weird. Everyone here is issued a black suit or dress to wear.

Finally my father spoke.

"So, have you heard about the rise of Tsukuyami?"

The black hooded man spoke with a raspy voice.

" Yes of course. Number two hero,  Fumikage Tokoyami."

"I'm afraid of my son's status of number one hero being challenged by this... animal."

The black hooded man chuckled.

" Yeah, you should. Nowadays most villains work under the cover of night. Not so good for a fire and ice quirk but perfect for a quirk that is stronger under the cloak of night."

The hoodie man tilted his head upwards to meet my father's masked face.

" So to solve this problem, you want me to kill him?"

Now it was Endeavor's time to chuckle.

" Oh no. Not Tokoyami, he's a perfect candidate. No. I want you to assassinate number one Hero, Todoroki Shōto."

Author' Note:

Well, how was the first chapter? This was pretty fun to write, though you'll find out why Deku and Katsuki weren't in the top five heroes.
